Yes, growing up in Queens, NY in the 80s we jumped double dutch all Summer long. It was all we knew as little brown skinned girls 🥰😍 I still jump today at 56yrs old….my 36yr old daughter jumps & my 16yr old granddaughter jumps also! They live in FL. 🪢📿

Yesss!! Growing up outside of Philly, we would go to the corner store (Miss Kim's) to buy essentially a bag of wire. And for cheap! We would have to "assemble it" ourselves. Wow. You brought me back. Thank you! I hated the thick jelly rope my school would provide us at recess. This is the way to do it!! How long of a cable do you recommend getting? I can't remember the length of the wire us kids used. I just remember it being ridiculously long and us doubling it to get the right size.

This video was such a tease. I need a step by step. I was so young trying to remember what kind of telephone cord and I cannot see close enough to check and see if the rope is flat or rounded! I was going to purchase telephone cords on Amazon but I may just need to go into a Lowe’s or home depot

I'm a white dude that played a little double Dutch growing up, then again I was the only white kid in a 4 block radius lol. I can't really remember if the white girls played, but when I got a little older and started licking girls I tried it a few times. Think I messed it up though 😆 🤣 😂 😹. Then we had the claping game when we couldn't bring phone cords to school. But I was today's years old when I found out they sell double Dutch ropes. My daughter one and I was like how long of a phone cord is she gonna need cuz I'm a buy some now before they are extinct lol 😆
