I don't like his choice either, he was my favourite, but it was the right decision if we are only considering channel growth. What I think was very annoying and something I hate was the decision to delete and private old videos. If he doesn't wanna limit himself to Transformers, fine, but why delete videos that are nostalgic for many people...

​​@@YnossZaperator Blame Lorenzo for that as he thought the joke would be funny and implanted said joke into the movie. The actor who played Shane felt uncomfortable by that joke and that was his first acting gig... But on another note, some people look the other way when a 17 year old and a 20 year old hook up as 17 is right next to 18 and in some places age of consent is 17 but my point is, just because some people accept that age gap, doesn't mean you gotta put it in a movie and try to justify it with a real law. Just makes the whole thing not only pointless but again, uncomfortable.

The 3D animation of Energon is like the Tiger Electronic Games (all of them). It’s so outdated, it was never even indated!!!! It was dated the moment the first episode aired on TV. Seriously, how does the 3D Animation in this show feel so lifeless, when Beast Wars came out in 1996, was fully 3D Animated, and managed to somehow have more life than Energon did, IN 2004?!!!!!! ISN’T TECHNOLOGY MEANT TO IMPROVE OVER TIME?!!!!!!

Because Actas Inc., the company that did the animation for Transformers Armada, didn't have enough of a budget to do Energon on their own. So, to save money, Takara recruited Studio A-CAT, a company founded back in 1996. Even worse, to fit the deadline for the 20th Anniversary, Hasbro forced them to rush the series out the door, meaning several key set pieces were left absent.

You need to know that this is was made by a Japanese studio just starting to make Cel-Shaded 3D for humanoid characters with facial expressions. But unlike say Zoids, Energon/Superlink has them look not just dated and muddy, but also very stiff in movements. The only thing good I can find are the character designs. And you know you messed up big time when an American studio was able to use such technology for a series made in the late 1990s. And I am starting to admit and see the problems. And let’s say I am very sad and questioned, not only as a Transformers fan, but also as an anime fan. Cybertron/Galaxy Force did the same thing, but the models look good and streamlined and the movements feel more fluid. Especially the transformation sequences, my favourite.

​​@@mewmew2722 just pointing this out there, superlink is the superior version of energon and it still has problems with it's cgi so....this isn't just a case of switching studios but more so just Japan not being the best at the time when it came to using 3D animation meanwhile beast wars was done by a Canadian studio and the west (but mainly America) was on top of everyone at the time when it came to mastering cgi.

Tbh i never really liked the idea of power linking because like Adam says, it's unnecessary It would've been cool if linking 2 bots could actually give different attributes. Like say if you combined Hot Shot (top) and Jetfire (bottom), you get firepower and flight. It would've been so much better than "increase their power"

I don't really Remembered Energon's Shitty CGI was that Terrible. But, from what I heard. The CGI were actually fix and improved in the Re-releases. But, even then, the CGI is still shit. Even the Dialogue is horseshit ontop of it. I still kept watching the Show. Because the absolute amazing voice acting like, Megatron and Scorponak, kept me more interested. Putting the bots as 2D, with better Dialogue, it would be goated as armada. But, Sadly, Energon was rushed to shit. Wich explains why the CGI is shit and the Dub has shitty god afwul Dialogue. It's shit, but I still watch it because of most of the Decepticons Voice Acting. But, wish SnowCat stop Yolding like, every 5 minutes when he's onscreen.

Most believe that Energon sucks solely because of the awful animation. But no, that's not even the main reason why it sucks. What is it then, you may ask? THE FACT THAT IT FUCKING SPIT ON EVERYTHING THAT MADE ARMADA AWESOME. All the character development and deep, mature themes in Armada? Gone, without a trace. Starscream? Reduced to a obedient lap-dog. Megatron? Completely stripped of his hidden depths. Optimus? A savage that at times seems to not even care about his men. Demolishor? Reduced to a mindless brute when he once even went as far as save Starscream from Megatron's abuse. I could go on and on and on. But the point is, fuck Energon. It fully deserves all the hate it gets.
