Baikal is the largest freshwater lake on Earth; it contains 20% of all fresh water on the planet. Its water is so clean and transparent that through the ice of Lake Baikal frozen in winter its depths are visible. Yes, the video was shot specifically for Diana, using the film’s script and its ideas. Diana, who has been afraid of diving since childhood (which is not surprising given her difficult childhood and the fact that her birth mother tried to drown her in the bathtub), courageously overcame it and starred in underwater filming for the video. In the film, she sings the main musical theme and the boy’s deceased mother speaks in her voice (according to the film’s script).

The scene that you see on the video clip plays exactly like that in the movie (the song plays exactly like that but with less instrumentation and the vocals are more pronounced) except the Diana underwater parts. The spirit of the lake Baikal is implied in the film but they showed it in the video clip in the form of Diana who did an amazing job filming these scenes for real underwater. The director of the movie wanted to use special effects to make a humans voice to sound like a spirit but then he met Diana and he could not believe that he had to touch nothing on her vocals, he just let her mystical voice to take over and this is the result. Here is the context you need to understand what is going on : The boy you see on the clip lost his mother, she passed on and the boy was drowning in grief, at the start of the video he was lost mentally and physically because he was separated from his grandfather during a snowstorm. The spirit of the lake (Diana) came to his help, it took the form of his mother and woke him up saving him from certain death (hypothermia), she showed him the way by lighting his path and scaring him away from the cracking ice, the spirit also saved him mentally with her words of comfort and empowerment, she said to him that they will be always together (him and his mother), their hearts beat like one.
