At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on KZbin. Two months ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of KZbin 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers. Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. Diana Ankudinova sings mostly in Russian, English and French. She has also sung in other languages including Spanish, German and Arabic. Yeah! So far - in a matter of a couple of years - she has driven her tank through our expectations of how a number of great songs should be done, including What a wonderful world, I cant help falling in love, Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien, Ornery Horses, Puttin' on the Ritz, Twist in my Sobriety to mention a few. Sha has alien-level skills, but that in itself is nowhere near a good explanation for this. It is also a deeply creative talent that shines through.

Diana here is just extraordinary as expected. "Diana", nothing more need be said. What surprised me was Brandon's fingers, they don't look like pianist's fingers, but he sure knows how to tickle those ivories for maximum effect. Both Diana and Brandon appear to be a match made in musical heaven. Such a continuing collaboration may one day yield a partnership even more successful than Dimash and Igor.
