An it is even more mind numbing realizing that this is a 15 year old girl up there on the stage. She is the biggest phenomenon in the music world the past 20 plus years and the world is still not ready for her. How about listening to her cover of "Human" next or if you are brave enough go for her interpretation of an ancient folk Russian song called "Rechenka" which is considered one of the best performances ever.

Diana has many songs, she has been singing for a long time for her age and sings beautifully. She can actually be summed up perfectly with just two words, Diana Ankudinova. Although her "Rechenka", at 14 is primal, my favourite is her solo version of her "The day you" from last summer. For a fun one do try "Havana". In essence a girl having fun with her new home studio.

Although Diana was still only fifteen here she was already a superstar because of the four incredible performances that she had given on the previous season of _You are Super_ a year earlier. Great reaction! If you like her stage presence and that tribal sound you should listen to Rechenka (The River) which she sang at 14. This is considered one of her masterpieces, even at such a young age It is based on Russian folktales about a young betrothed orphan girl who goes to the river, the boundary between the living and the dead, to ask her deceased mother's blessing for her marriage. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHbGp4l_g6ZmZpY Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother at age 3. Because of this beginning, she had speech problems and was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talent was quickly recognized and the rest is history.

One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZe3moShf9d_n5I. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song. I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.

As others have already suggested, i want to ask you to consider reacting to her singing in her native language. At age 14, after stunning the judges with one sung in French, another in English, she was asked to sing in Russian. She chose an ancient folk song about an orphan (as Diana was) forced to marry and leave her home. I am sure you will not need any translation to appreciate the depth of her emotion, let alone the scope of her talent.
