Greetings from Scotland! 15yo here and she sang this phenomenal cover absolutely note perfect! At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. This arrangement of Wicked Game and her sublime vocal ability is just magical and epic. You should explore her signature performance of her early teens - Rechenka. As a storytelling singer, she performs her songs like a book - opening it with a whisper as the cover bookend and closing it with a whisper. I believe, auto-tune would actually destroy her natural sound. She presents so much timbre and vibrato and yodeling, auto-tune would level the sound to a degree, that it would sound like Alexa or a navigation device. Would be unbearable. We enjoy, as beautiful and unique as it is.

Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D6). Diana's voice also sometimes has a polyphonic undertone. You hear: Her voice sounds an octave below the singing voice. (But not everyone can hear that.) I'm so happy you found this unique talented girl! She was 14, they made a show "You are super/ Ты супер!" for kids with tormented background/left with no parental care, and they made funny, sometimes beautiful performances like dancing with sailors, etc. Then Diana entered, with voice of an Earth Goddess. Not only the rarest contralto singing voice, her one of a generation timbre and using huge variety of singing techniques including yodeling, pliphonic singing, straight tones vibratos, use of dynamics, all in one but her stage presence, her unqiue ability to set the mood, the atmosphere, and transforms herrself into the character immdediately when on stage at age of 14?! And since the crew was highly professional they did excellent job giving her the opportunity to shine. She took it, won that season (Season 2), and the Season 3 (Super Season where the best returned) at age of 15. There are many many songs by her and they all amaze me do to his unique voice and style, but for me only the TV show and it's concert gave her the professional enviroment to really shine, including background, stage director, sound engineers for audio quality, etc. etc So we can see, hear, experience her performance fully. (Yep the image of these shows video are often copyright blocked, the workaround is crop/filter/blur/change aspect size if needed. Hello, Chris. This was excellent. You know, I have been doing quite a bit of listening to Diana myself lately. However, I have mainly used the "Diana Ankudinova Shorts Official" channel for MY fill. These songs that we get to hear from the singing contests and all that are the tip of the ice berg so to speak, and don't give you the REAL Diana in a sense. Western hit classics are good, but listen to her do some more traditional stuff, and you will see and hear her REAL soul. That's my 2 cents at least. My respect for her as an artist has increased leaps and bounds since I discovered that channel, and through it, quite a few other channels as well. She is great, no doubt about it :-) And I believe she's still just 18 years old, so there will be lots more coming. I feel like we live in a blessed musical era right now tbh, we're seeing a shift. Part of that shift has to do with the stellar artists coming up now, like Diana Ankudinova, Daneliya Tuleshova, Dimash Kudaibergen, Angelina Jordan, Aurora Aksnes and many more. Combined, these 5 artists haven't even reached 100 years. Artistically they have SO much in common, even though they have very different expressions and qualities.
