Hi Jay! Diana is literally unbelievably good. Think about that. How many musical artists have you heard who are so good that you actually cannot believe it? And that video is her from 3 years ago. She's been getting world-class vocal training. She's 18 now and is even stronger, especially her upper register. I don't think anybody knows her limits. However, one thing I DO know is that Diana shakes my soul! I'm totally addicted and I could listen to her sing all day long!

This competition is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children. The musical project “You are super! can give to children who do not have a prosperous childhood, not only positive emotions, but also hope for changes in their fates. Eighty children from various countries can now take part, understanding that they have outstanding talents. Only the best of the best will be able to complete all the selections. Diana entered the competition in 2018 and 2019 and won twice. 2018 (3rd season) Diana sang 'Derniere danse' (French), 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' (Engl.), 'The River' (Russ.), 'Tomorrow Is A Lie' (Engl.) and 2019 (super season) Diana won the Grand Prix with 'Blizzard' (Russ.), 'Wicked Game' (Engl.) and 'Human' (Engl.). She was 15 here , Russian prodigy, Angel 😇 she has a true Contralto Voice , her tone , voice control is epic ..she will be 18 in may, next you should react to Rechenka.. translate to River, very old russian folk song she turns into epic performance..her childhood was tragic abuse, beaten and nearly killed by her birth mother , found her on the street in the middle of winter with a broken shoulder at 4 years old taken to a orphanage and did not speak or not well , a wonderful women who worked there adopted her and sent her to singing lessons to help her with her speech, now everyone is speachless! You have just listened to what may be a true contralto. “Diana Ankudinova, A Russian National Treasure”, I have been following her for awhile. She is another very interesting story that you will discover. Wait until you hear "Human" or "Rechenka" Even though it is in Russian you still feel the emotion behind it. I've heard her sing in Russian, English, French, German, Arabic and Spanish so far. No matter what language it is beautiful.

They call her the Queen of goosebumps. Diana has expressed an interest in Rock and Folk Rock so who knows what direction she will go once she gets out of school. Enjoyed your vid. I'd suggest Blizzard if you like that dark, round, powerful, complicated haunting sound of her lower register. It's brilliant. Happiness is her newest release, it's on her official site and she doesn't block like NTV and has excellent working English subtitles for her non-English work.

Greetings from Scotland! YES, please keep following Diana because you've barely scratched the surface of her vocal abilities yet! I am impressed that you only had !WOW" to say about that performance because I watch many many people trying to explain and analyze what they have just seen and heard but almost all get to a point where logic and reason fails, then they say "WOW" :) You already came to the conclusion that Diana has no explanation, Diana is just Diana!! Here a 15yo girl who had a pretty horrible start to her life - now showing the family that threw her out, just what a treasure they abandoned! Thank God that Diana's wonderful adoptive family came along and gave her a fighting chance to show her true potential. For an emotion packed performance it is difficult to beat Diana's cover of "Fastidious Horses" by Vladimir Vysotsky. It is like a poetic/reading/singing of the Russian song. Covering a legendary Vladimir Vysotsky song is a little like covering a Mariah Carey song in English, you probably should be fairly accomplished and sure of yourself to try it in a public performance. Diana addressed the audience in the video I saw and said everywhere she goes she is asked to perform a Vladimir Vysotsky song and she chose the dramatic song "Fastidious Horses". The allegory is that of the driver whipping his horses toward the abyss of death but pleading with the horses to slow down so he can live his life a little longer and finish his song.
