My favorite show and I too enjoyed this scene leading up to the 10th knots power! Though Season 1 and Season 2 really preached us a mighty and powerful witch to come! Then in Season 3 after healing The Book Of LIfe I felt a bit of let a down with Diana's power by only spell binding Satu then only a magic bow and arrow being shot at Benjamin! I had envisioned a more greatness of power like 01. Flying high up in the air. 02. Showing water and Fire and maybe teleporting from one side of the room to the other! Possibly a budget was in play and a minimum spent on effects!

In the book the first time she faced Benjamin she hesitated and he fled. So there was emphasis placed on her not hesitating the next time she encountered him.

I was honestly upset with the low impact of the scene. So much was built up and they did change a lot from the book. I wish they added a real fight scene between her and satu, especially after satu literally threw diana around in season 1. Two powerful weavers and it was a simple binding spell that ended the story of satu. And the tenth knot just being an arrow that we have already seen her do without any knots in season 1. I loved this season but more magical action was definitely needed.
@The_Memorial2 жыл бұрын
In s1 it was a fire arrow. If you look at Benjamin whatever this spell was, it took away his vampirism.
@MrChiz1012 жыл бұрын
@@The_Memorial True but all this waiting and knot magick just for the tenth knot to manifest as an arrow.. I know the symbolism and it was executed very beautifully but i feel like all of season 2 built up this major battle and it was just two simple things she did. The fire arrow would have also killed benjamin so i was confused why the tenth knot was just another arrow.. Would have been better ( in my opinion) if it was just a blast of energy lol. Or if there was an actual battle. They gave us a little something when Sarah killed Knox i wanted more of that energy to end the series.

@@MrChiz101 i agree that portraying it like an arrow was a bit weak but the nature of the spell was insane. She was able to take away his powers and kill him just like that.

I agree it needed more intense, also when Diana summoned her familiar Cora, when she done it from that tree of crossing the goddess had showed up and warned Diana she promised her something. Also when she did killed Benjamin she first killed Knox in the building, and later him. She spellbound Satu much more later when she was whit that scene whit the congregation, plus there was that vampire-witch lady I forgot her name using disguise spell, and she bound her much more later.

Diana presents how powerful she is in every single episode. Baldwin alone feels it twice. The scene in the film differs significantly from the book. I like the scene in the library when she disguises herself and how she convinces Chris very much. Especially in the confrontation with Benjamin and Satu, they are as close to the book as possible. Satu was only bound by Diana, left without any power as a useless witch. In the book, she even offers her a hand in cooperation again, when Satu refuses. I too would like to have 13 episodes instead of seven and am very sad about it. But unfortunately we got this rushed third season. I miss the scenes with the convention in Madision. for they are not unimportant to the plot. I would have liked to have seen Father Hubbart's tower, with Jack's drawings, and Fernando's prostration to Diana! But this scene is awesome

I don't know if you lady had read the book, but in the book when she was searching her mother's spell book there was written entire recipe and herbs representing mythical properties describing the herbs association whit higher magicks and was stated Diana can master higher magicks, I also miss the scene in the book when she was in her bedroom and the goddess appeared to her, and told her she is hers or Mathew will die I very much wished to see the goddess in the series as well, also when Diana was weaving her forspell the same tree of crossings appeared whit the goddess inside of it. There are a lot of things that are missed in tv series.

I loved the the show this was such a cool series. I love this one, and when she bound Satu and lastly when she helped Sarah take revenge on behalf of Em. That spell when you know she hates doing it, it was such a powerful moment. Wonder if the 4th book will be done?

I had never read the books so I thoroughly enjoyed the series. But would have loved to see more in the scenes where she defeats Satu and Benjamin. Especially Benjamin. It seemed rushed.

Filmed during Covid. There was supposed to be more episodes but they were given up to defray costs of testing and precautions. They also had to build new sets as travel wasn’t possible. And I highly recommend the books. They are fabulous.

Like everyone else, I really wished the final scenes were much better thsn this. A lot was built up and I'm sure allthr viewers were expecting something big at the ending. I mean, lol I was really waiting for a BIG time WITCH FIGHT between Diana and Satu. I heaved a sigh after I watched Diana just defeat her so easily. (Remember we saw a scene where Satu returned to some old woman who looks like Goodyalsop for her training) So i was expecting her to be morr powerful than she was when she attacked Diana at Sept Tours. Also, the scene where she was chanting "with a knot of one..." was so cool but then I was kinda dissatisfied when it turned out to be that same arrow of fire. I heard about the budget issues snd the Lockdown issues but...i don't know.. I guess they did their best. The series was really good. For me, i was placing it in the same level with Merlin.UNTIL the end scenes. Lol i wish they could sorta delete the entire season three (it was obviously rushed if you noticed) and either remake the season or even make more seasons. Loved thr the series though.
The plot is good but more on dialogue ...we want more power revealing like the Phoenix, fire bow part .... Then why the 10th knot is "Justice" 😕 it's say Creation and distruction I expected more power revealing but and intense fight scene

I think I would have enjoyed the show more if I wasn’t such a huge fan of the books. I felt the show was very rushed and didn’t pick as much of a punch as the books everything that happened seemed very watered down. I really loved the casting though they did a great job with the cast

VERY disappointing rescue of Matthew and her simply binding Satu after she tortured her so badly. what was the point of her familiar if it didn't come out here? Then the tenth knot and she did what she had already done BEFORE she got her full powers? That was poor writing as it was about healing power as well would have made more sense of reviving matthew to take him to his sire for her blood. not sure why they rushed thru and didn't have a couple more episodes. Brilliant overall tho with such a strong diverse cast that you really cared about. was satisfying that Sarah finally rose up and smote Peter knox.

They had only 7 episodes to cover the entire Book of Life. Her familiar Corra was already released. She was the only witch/weaver who had the power of the 10th knot and she used it on Benjamin. In the book BOL Satu was spellbound too but not killed.

that ending was so lame. It was like activating cheat modus. The main enemys were just killed / defeated with 1 spell (Knox, Satu, Benjamin). And many questions were not answered, if you only watched the series. What's with Rebecca, calling for help? What price does Diana have to pay for saving Matthew in the first seasons? What is with the Demons? What are they, why are they called Demons, what are their characteristics? And so on and so on. It was really disappointing, after these great seasons 1 + 2. Really sad.
@gailwebb96192 жыл бұрын
You do realize that they had to cover the entire Book of Life in just 7 episodes? And during a pandemic with a lockdown? Along with no traveling and a limited budget? They covered the main important points of the book.
@teresae2 жыл бұрын
@@gailwebb9619 and? that does not chance anything about what I said. the open plotlines could have been answered in one or two additional dialogues. And one or two movements more to better the fight scenes and not just defeat them with one spell... A series or a movie does not need to fit his book template perfectly, but it has to be consistent in itself. That was not the case for the last season of this series.

@@teresae there were serious budget issues and they had to cut costs where they could. We saw a daemon in Timothy....who was on the brink of a nervous breakdown and was helped by Diana and Agatha. Sorry you were disappointed but that’s the reality of filming during a pandemic and in a lockdown.

@@gailwebb9619 I don't know exactly what we're discussing. I don't care about their time or their budget. I just look at the final season, i just pointed put, what I didn't like about this last season. I think, they could have done it better, even with limited ressources. If I hadn't had enough time for my thesis during the pandemic and if I had to cut on stuff... Nobody would have cared. The professors simply evaluate the result.. We all had to make the best of our limited ressources and i, in my opinion, don't think, that they made a good job with this final season.

Insure humanities evolution and survival. The council neede to adjust to give every race an equal voice. Wake up, smell the coffee
