..Getting plenty of shots with a cushion on both ends of the spring. Also the accuracy is great.... I'm shooting a fishing weight hanging on a wire against a cinder block

Sam, I inserted a 1/4" long piece of 3/8" rubber fuel fuel hose between the hammer and the spring. 👍

I did that washer mod , 5mm I did and it made pellets inconsistent energy, higher initially and gradually decreasing with number of shots. On non modified spring graph in excel I made was flatter. In general the average gain of power was minimal, 12,09 vs 12,38J. Like I said before slightly more powerful are those versions in USA or some other factors affect it like temperature. BTW I find domed Premier pellets to be accurate a lot. Maybe you got bad batch or barrel needs cleaning. Actually always after purchase barrel should be cleaned once. How much off are these domed for you?

I see PA did get some .22 Chaser Pistols in stock. I keep waiting on a .22 long Barrel !! I think I may go ahead and scoop up the pistol

I noticed they were out of stormrider barrels myself...I have another chaser kit on the way in .177. I already have the other one in .22 and the valve body broke on my other .177 chaser and the valve costs as much as the pistol so I just ordered another chaser kit with the. 177 pistol..gonna have some hopefully cool new videos soon!.. thanks for watching!!

1/22/2022 Just found your channel. Really fascinated that your are getting about 12 FPE from your Chaser. That is a HUGE increase. Please tell us what you did to the hammer spring...please.

I put a 1/4" piece of rubber hose between the hammer and the spring..gives it a good little boost of power, less shots. But more powerful..had to dremel down the piece of tubing to fit in side the hammer...

Before the upgrade it shot 14.3 hollow points @ 565 fps. Now it hits 615fps for a gain of 50 fps!...

Great video! It seems that UE version has weaker spring since we got like 450 fps or so out of the box. I didn’t find pdf for that, only about maximum of 10 joules or so of energy. These 14.3 gr pellets at 565 fps give 27 joules, well over UE legal limits. So adding spacer on UE version will not give so high results, but anyway worth tweaking. I wonder if valve is different. EDIT: energy by half, me silly , it will be 13.5 but still more
@gwhitfield4239 Жыл бұрын
I think the valve is the same..could be detuned by installing a smaller transfer port..good question!..
@JohnDoe-el5ir Жыл бұрын
@@gwhitfield4239 oops, I made a miscalculation, I shell divide it by 2 , it will be (mV^2)/2 , that makes 13.5 joules, but anyways if your chrono is correct, then it is more than in UE at least out of the box

Amazing how much a pellet makes in the fps difference in the pistol.

Could adding a spacer at the rear make any difference compared to vice versa.. got 655 fps .177 using front and rear spacers
@gwhitfield4239 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely...front or rear of the spring dont matter as long as everything is moving freely...👍
@getore1002 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. Quick question: so you didn't change the spring, you just inserted a 1/4 gasket at the back end essentially causing the spring to compress more so it would release more energy. Is that correct? Also, do you have a quick feel for by how much this reduced the shot count? It be GREAT if you could post a video showing how you did this.
@gwhitfield42392 жыл бұрын
Ore, actually what I did was.....and you can use anything solid, but I cut a 1/4" long piece of aluminum rod and inserted into the rear of the hammer..must slide easily inside the hole on back of the hammer....the spring will compress and that's what gives it a extra boost to keep the valve open a little bit longer..My buddy, Tyrone mclaren ( south african budget airgunner) has great videos on it...watch his and he gives exact measurements..thanks for the comment!!

Ok so what did you do exactly,
@gwhitfield42398 ай бұрын
I cut a 1/4" long piece of 3/8" rubber tubing (like fuel line hose) and put it in front of the hammer spring..you can get a stiffer spring or you can stretch the hammer spring and it'll be good for awhile but it will eventually go back to its normal condition unless you heat it up as you stretch it and drop it in cold water. I have one that I took a pencil eraser and shoved the metal base inside the hammer spring and it works really well..👍
