Is there anything you can do if the enemy team is focusing you down every fight so you cant carry? I'm talking about something like Malhazar ult or something you cant really do anything about.

You have to wait for him to use his R before you're allowed to go in, either that, or, your teammates are in range already and can disrupt him immediately after you E R so then you're free straight away.
