Lucky enough to be there! Loved her forever. When she walked into the room, it was a thrill like none other, knowing you were witnessing a legend, a mega talent, glamorous as ever, funny, congenial, poignant, and having the time of her life, so beautiful. It was a moment so magical, it hardly seemed real. She proved that age is just a number, saying 75, to her, is really 47, and then went on to show the endurance of someone 27, singing and dancing up on that stage for over 2 hours finishing well after 1AM before saying goodnight. Simply amazing!

Hallo George Solomon, Hab deine Konzert Erlebnisse hier ins Deutsche übersetzt! Einfach unglaublich!

Thanks Fredy from me too! I'm "wishing and hoping" that there may be a few more videos tucked away in your video treasure box from that one-of-a-kind evening of the one-of-a kind Diana Ross, that you have yet to post here, She is so unique a talent, with a voice so distinct, unlike any other, it almost defies being categorized as just one sound, which is why she's a talent that still shines big, bright, and brilliant, She always had that "something" , that "it" factor, that extra magical something, that keeps you enthralled, not because her voice is the best, strongest, or loudest in projection, but because its just distinct from the rest of pack of "wanna be imitations of" singers who career out of the music business with a fizzle as fast as they careened into it with like fireworks. So few have "it', Streisand, believe it or not, Cher has it, Ella Fitzgerald and Karen Carpenter had it, Whitney!, as did Sassy Sarah Vaughn, Billie Holliday, Best Album of 1962 winner, Judy at Carnegie Hall, Garland had it. Maybe a dozen will come along every 100 years, gifted unique voices, Diana can't be imitated or reproduced in a "sounds like" performer, nor can her songbook of songs or musical style, which are all her own. When a dictionary gives us a definition of the word "incomparable", they should just have a picture of Miss Ross as the strongest example of its meaning.

when you sample other peoples work, you should give them their flowers, thats how it should be done, unlike the others who act like they created what they stole or dont even know where it come from. these days when you listen to something that sounds too good, google who sampled it, if you hear an old randb or hiphop song, google who sampled it,

Where is Mary Wilson the original Supreme? Why hasn't Diana invited her to the stage. It was the Supremes that made her a star. Without Mary and Flo there would've been no group and no Diana Ross. Trust me on this. She's too much of a Diva. Shame on her.
@FredyRimando5 жыл бұрын
You're living in the past. Diana Ross left in 1970...almost 50 years. Get over it. Diana Ross doesn't owe Mary anything. If anything, it's the other way around. Mary has a career because of Ms Ross. Her "tell all" book made her millions. Mary has a good career without Diana Ross.
@Dion_Mustard5 жыл бұрын
@@FredyRimando No I am afraid Diana owes Mary - and Florence. I am not living in the past. I am merely stating that her career began in the most successful girl group on record. You would've thought at 75 - she might have acknowledged her roots - with Motown - and the Supremes - and had Berry Gordy, Smokey and Mary on stage with her. Mary wrote a book about the truth. That's why Diana was peeved. Mary wrote what Diana was really like and thats why Diana was annoyed. However Diana forgave her years ago. I don't think Mary needed to be forgiven for writing a book. I thought it was a brilliant book that focused on the music. Florence Ballard is the one who should be remembered and acknowledged but Diva Diana never does. Shallow woman.
@FredyRimando5 жыл бұрын
@@Dion_Mustard old argument and not relevant. Both have happy careers and Diana always talk about Motown and the Supremes when she's singing Supremes songs. Why should she mention them when she's singing one of her hits? I won't go into Mary's book. Everyone has their opinion. But It's good for entertainment purposes. I go to many Mary Wilson's shows and she's a fantastic singer but her negativity has drained her. If she focused as much on herself as she did on Diana, she could have made an impact as a Solo Artist. But this debate between Mary and Diana is fruitless. Almost 50 years and people still complain about Ms Ross going solo. So sad. No one comes out of this being right.
@Dion_Mustard5 жыл бұрын
@@FredyRimando maybe people are still complaining because of Flo? Florence is not old or irrelevant - she died in poverty - she died because Berry and Diana pushed her aside and she fell into depression. Her memory lives on. Diana never mentions her. You won't see it because you obviously adore Diana but I can guarantee most of what she says and does is an act. Whenever she's seen off stage she looks as miserable as sin. She talks about love and forgiveness yet she doesn't practise what she preaches. As for Mary's book - it is well documented by other artists how much of a pain in the arse Diana Ross was. Irritating and selfish. A leopard can't change it's spots. Trust me on that. Mary is more down to earth and genuine. And that's the truth. Mary's career has been amazing. Always has, always will. Now do not reply - go away with your Ross love and your pointless comments.

Live Life : stop blaming Diana. With respect, flo couldn’t handle the pressure. Understandably. She was just too young. It was Diana’s voice that sold all those records. I get the support the underdog thing. I get it, but Diana was meant to be a superstar. She had the full package and still does.
