This song was sent from God into the mind of a song writer and sang by a woman with a heavenly voice to remind us there is still beauty in life to find and cherish.

I have never in all of my 71 years of living, heard such a beautiful emotional, interpretation of a song. Critics have belittled this woman talent, but they have underestimated her talent. What a talent? She is truly a pleasure to listen to. Diana Ross is one of the most talented singers of her times. I would rate her of her era. I am blessed as having been born in the times of Diana Ross. What a blessing. I could listen to her all day, and never tire.

For me, Diana is by far the Blueprint for all true pop SUPERSTARS...she personally trained Michael. And women like Whitney, Madonna, Janet, Mariah and now Beyonce all followed and paid tribute to her in some way....Diana was the pioneer for all of what we understand about pop SUPERSTARDOM....no one like her before.

I was 15 when this came out. I've lost count on how many times I've seen this movie over the years but the whole Mahogany soundtrack is just sublime. This beautiful song though is my all time favourite Ms Ross song ever put to vinyl. It might sound morbid but I have it ready to play at my funeral whenever that may be. I'm 57 now, not ready to go just yet, but this song is still able to make a grown man cry.....& I do mean Cryyyyy!!!!! It's just so gut wrenching and anyone who is in touch with their inner emotions will know what I mean. It'll make you happy if you're in a good place but it can comfort you when you're in a bad place. Ruud, you have done a wonderful mix here & it sounds really how it should have been released in the first place. 9 minute songs were never heard of until Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. This is great, top notch stuff though so well done and a very big thank you from London town.

She is amazingly talented. Whether it was then or now. I have her on every playlists. She gives you a chance to back away from challenges that you deal with everyday. Whether it is from her upbeat songs that make you get up and dance. To her musical way of letting you know you can fly. She's amazing and I relish the 53yrs I've been able to hear the words. it's ok to not be ok. But also that life's challenges are what you learn from. Namaste.

Dear Ruud Mixer - I must congratulate you on the seamlessness of this extend-o-mix! Really incredible, incredible work...and a labour of of love for something that is too elegant to be a 'cult' movie and yet too earnest to be truly camp (except, maybe, for Tracey/Miss Ross' bizarro 'Elton John is the love child Cio Cio San & Flash Gordon' "Kabuki Feenallay" costumes - I mean, really! As a naive and somewhat provincial 14 year old seeing this on TV in 1981 I loved those costumes - they were just so 'off'...this was my idea of a visionary avant-garde...now they make me laugh, not derisively, of course, but mirthfully - they are fun, fun, fun and eminently fascinating. Who couldn't help but want to see them up close for every detail? But couture? Not sure about that.): anyway, your work is much appreciated.
