My 3 are grown and wandering far from the Lord, which-not going to lie- is really hard! But we hold fast to the Lord's faithfulness, and try daily to trust that all the prayers through the years will have a powerful and effective outcome, even if they do need to walk a path we would not choose. My dearest Meg, I know just how ur heart breaks, as does mine. I did everything a mother could do to lead her children to our Lord! They were d so very close to Jesus and had a personal relationship with Him. Then tragedy struck. And they right away turned to God and He didn’t help them or our family. I'm a grandmother now and the women I prayed with in Mom's in Prayer for many years-- are still my prayer sisters and closest friends. This great organization began in the San Diego area where I lived. It began with one woman, Fern Nichols, who wanted to pray for her children and their schools. God multiplied her ministry in our local area and then to the world!! So many have been blessed because she followed God's prompting!!! 🙌

My two are grown and neither is a believer which is difficult for me but I respect where they are. It doesn't stop me from praying for them because I trust the Lord will listen to my prayers and help them both see Him at work in their lives and recognize His work in them. It may take a while but I'm pretty patient and I know the Lord is too. =) Thank you for the encouragement!

Thank you for your guidance! When my kids lived at home I used Stormie Omartain's book for specific prayer areas. Also, did Mom's in Touch, meeting every week and praying with a small group of moms. Both gave me support and kept me focused on God's love, care and protection.

I wanted to share that when my 3 kids were small (2-12) we used to say a prayer every night. As their concerns and understanding and not understanding grew, so did our prayer. I thought you might get a kick out of it. So here goes! Dear Lord, We ask that you keep us safe from: Bad dreams Thunderstorms Hurricanes Heavy rains Strong winds Deep snows Things that go bump in the dark And anything that would keep us from getting the sleep and rest we need for our busy day tomorrow. We pray for those working that you will keep them safe and bring them home to their families safe and sound. We ask that you give us strength in everything we do tomorrow. In our school At work At play In travel In everything we do and bring us all back together again at the end of the day. We ask all this in Jesus’ precious name, Amen So said it grew as they grew! Lol They each had their own favorite prayers they would say as well but not until mommy said the big one! Good bless you as you continue to help so many people in their walks of faith! And bless your new baby girl and all your extended family staying with you during this precious event!

I pray for my three adult children everyday. My daughter leads a small group and has been a strong follower of Christ. My sons are not following the Lord and it breaks my heart. I know that God knows my heart so I'll keep praying and turning them over to Him.

My life has been insane lately, but I cannot say how much of a blessing my moms in prayer group as been. I know my kids are being prayed for and I’m praying for their kids. Highly recommend them. 💚💚

Love all of this so much! Last year I was studying Matthew 10:1, 10:8, Mark 16:17-18 and other healing scriptures. My teenge daughter had failed her eye exam while attempting to get her driver's permit at the DMV and was told to get glasses. We laid hands and prayed in our authority. My husband took her back to the DMV and when she started to read chart again, she was instantly healed!(even though she couldn't see well on way there). She was so excited to be able to decipher leaves, blades of grass, etc...on the way home that she couldn't see on the way there!

Me, too, Stephanie…but please be encouraged….when I am inspired or reminded to pray for my adult children, (with nudges such as Diana’s video 🙌🙏) , God hears my prayers and let’s me know He is always there for me..even when I get too busy with life’s distractions., He welcomes me with open arms…just like any loving father would do. So don’t worry about the past, the present is all that matters. 💖

My kids are grown too. It is not too late for us to pray for them to believe, love, serve and obey God. We may not see them surrender completely to Christ in our lifetime but if continue to pray for them they likely come fully to Christ in their lifetime.

Thanks, Diana, I’m going to use this for praying for my children and especially grandchildren! I don’t see the link for the Moms That Pray group. One thing, I have known the Lord for 49 years and have 7 children and 6 grandchildren. It seems like you are praying for your children to be pretty much perfect and have perfect lives. I don’t think that’s the Lord’s will for His children. Is God unfaithful if He allows trauma and disease and brokenness into their and/or our lives? Instead of praying for nothing to come against them, for them to be happy and healthy always, how about praying that when things come against them they will learn and grow to seek the Lord through it and glorify Him? Maybe think about your own childhood and young adult life. What negative things have you gone through and how has God used it to build faith in your life and show you what His character is? This seems to be a real trend in young people these days to pray very perfect and unrealistic prayers. I hope you can get the gist of what I’m saying and not take offense. Walking with the Lord is a journey, not strewn with rose petals and gum drops all the time. I don’t want my children and grandchildren to have perfect lives, but I do hope and pray they will use adversity wisely, to grow into His image and to glorify the Lord through it. Bless you!

Hi Cynthia, thank you for taking time to share! I actually edited out a whole monologue about how Jesus told Peter the type of death he would die to glorify the Lord. That’s the truth of the Kingdom, that some of us (or our children) will suffer, be persecuted and martyred for our faith. On the other hand, the church prayed for Peter and he was released. So, that’s why I pray above all, that they would know the Lord and be filled with His Holy Spirit from a young age and walk with Him all the days of their life. So, why did I edit that part out? I just didn’t feel like it came across clearly and it seemed to derail the video. And why do I pray for these good things for my kids? Because I believe we have a good Father in heaven, so I’m going to ask! But above all, you are right, they may be led where they don’t want to go and they may suffer, but my prayer is that they’ll have perfect fellowship with the Lord through it all and that He would be glorified. Thanks again for sharing... and I hope I got your gist! 😊

@@DianaKokku Well, maybe you did and maybe not. I think it’s great to pray for good things for our kids. What bothers me, I guess, is the absolutes, like always and never and everything. I have learned that my life doesn’t come in absolutes. I have learned so much by my trials and so much about who God is, I guess I want the same for my kids and grandkids. Maybe it’s just me?
