As a music teacher in a public school, YES to the thank you cards!! I love getting gifts like that! We already have 100 mugs and counting and more ornaments than can fit on a tree. The thank you cards are awesome! I also like getting a small personalized notepad for my kid’s teachers each year with their name on it. I use my notepads so quickly every year! That’s a fun gift too and just takes a little more prep.

Another idea for a gift is box of all occasions cards or several cards from dollar tree ribbon together with cute pen and stamps. I use to do this for my grandmother's and relatives who didn't need anything. Always could get 6 forever stamps to start them with. Could sub all occasion cards for blank set of cards.

Also! Our church gave 442 Thanksgiving dinners out. for Love My City here in Layton. Now we are getting socks, handwarmers, and thick blankets that the youth will hand out in Salt lake City to the homeless. THAT is what makes a difference. Giving and service.

I bought that advent devotional after Christmas 2022 so I’d have it for 2023, promptly forgot about it and never did a devotional last season. Thank you for talking about it because I vaguely remembered buying it and sure enough I found it on my bookshelf this morning in time for the first day of advent! I laughed when you talked about short term memory loss due to raising little ones - I’m sure that when I lost mine but alas, I never really got it back 😂 Enjoy your family this season even when it gets stressful. I miss those days. ❤️

Yes! "Unwrapping the Names of Jesus" is a lovely devotional that I could use each year. Reading through it in December really helps me to set my focus on Jesus and turn my heart to Him in this busy season. I highly recommend it!

I love that devotional. We use the Advent days for our family advent time in the weeks leading up to Christmas each year. My kids are young, and each short advent reading ends with singing a Christmas song together, it's perfect. And no prep on my part- just pick up the book and read!

That was fun! I am WAY to practical. I got things like tongue scrapers for my adult kids (they are good for your oral health), a new can opener and an unbreakable comb for my hubby, a throw blanket for me... well for my husband to give me, and fun things for the littles. Of course MORE magnatiles! Of course... my son-in-law's love language is gifts so he gets the fancy new stylus, just coming out, to go with the new tablet he's getting from his wife. Can't say what I got my daughter because she is a minimalist mom fan! HAHA Have a BLESSED Christmas season. Being in God's Word right now is really helping my head AND my heart.

Amazon has really cute birthday card perpetual calendar books that are great for grandma's or people who like to give birthday cards. Each page has a pocket to hold the cards with the perpetual calendar for that month. Similar to what Dawn does when she fills all the cards out in January!

I've got two words for you: Ad Blocker. I don't look at social media on my phone. I only look at YT and social media on my laptop and I installed ad blocker on my laptop. I went through the entire 2024 political season without seeing one ad! I also don't have cable or satellite TV.

Photo ideas...I choose a photo during the year when the kids are all together anyway and use that for Christmas cards. I have a friend who takes individual photos of each kid, then the parents together, so she does not have to have so many people schedules, gathered and still at the same time.

Yeah sounds impossible, yet with Christina Ann Tucker, I've come to the conclusion that financially anything is possible.
