What would be your ideal space to live, large or small? When our kids were small and lived here, I enjoyed the space but now I can't wait to move to somewhere smaller. Not long to wait, woo hoo! Are you decluttering with me today? 👋🏼😁

I have so much perfume - I’m slowly giving them away but I got 3 more bottles as gifts for my Birthday this month. I think I can’t run away from perfume 😂 my family will have to bury me underneath the bottles

Applause, applause, Diane. I am so happy and excited for you. I was just reading about many new developments in Copenhagen. I am looking forward to seeing your new life in a new place. What I learned, was that furniture that I thought would fit, did not. Spend a year in your new place, and by the end of the year, you will know what you really need, and you will be able to make better decisions than if you attempt it right at the beginning. It is a strange thing, but it has proven true, no matter where I have lived. You have to "live," in it, and it will tell you what the space needs. No matter how much you get rid of, you will be letting go of more, over the next year in your new space. Enjoy the process. Don't worry about making mistakes - you will, that is part of the transition. Wahooooo. Patting you on the back, young woman.

Your comment about your old journals was timely. An old friend and I have been decluttering for the last year or so and we were just talking about old journals. We agreed that the cringey ones are meant to be released! No need to revisit things that make us feel bad about ourselves!! A wee pat on your back for your progress and inspiration to all of us! Rah rah rah 🎉

Hello from Canada: I am always amazed by your positive attitude. Just recently I had my place painted and am living in chaos. I also suffer from SADS and am having a difficult time moving forward. Watching your videos always helps to motivate me. I am also trying hard to include self-care into my daily routines. Good luck with your decluttering.

I hope you are getting plenty of the right kind of light to help with your SADS - and that you are continuing to push through, even if it's just one task at a time. Just getting up and moving every few minutes is so much better than giving in (whether it's depression, Chronic pain, chronic fatigue, etc.… Keeps the blood moving, keeps the lymphatic system clearing your body of debris that can make us feel draggy. Have you read anything by Dr. Jack Kruse? Or seen him in interviews? He is brilliant on the topic of light.

I had a big bag of food to donate. I gave my small wardrobe a refresh and replaced six tee shirts and one pair of shoes that I just dropped off this morning. Objects of different categories leave daily, nothing pressing. Was fun to share your declutter!

Loving this series. It’s so wonderful to see your attitude towards new life stages. I’m not an empty nester but as my teens get older I’m seeing this time of life coming sooner and get so discouraged with how many people just say “the years go so fast” and other maudlin things. We raise kids to be adults and though it is hard to see them leave the nest it’s nice to have someone demonstrate a more reasonable approach. You’re not unsentimental, and it’s clear you love your family and are close, but you also have a refreshing attitude towards new life stages. Thanks Diane, I’ve enjoyed your videos since 2019 and continue to do so. 😊

I include memorable events in the planner, on a weekly basis, from details from my diary, where I do my detailed planning = monthly + weekly + daily. I’m not sure that I enjoy our house at the moment. It’s three bedrooms and we have one each. It’s very rare that we have anyone to stay, my husband’s kids and grandchildren book and stay nearby. Our Danish friend might come over for Xmas this year but I’d really rather he came in the spring when the weather will be better and we’ll be able to go out, but it’ll be lovely to see him whenever he comes over. My self care mission today is to clear and clean another bit of my studio. I’m visiting three friends on Thursday and taking one of them some enamelling things and she’s very excited about it. She will use them with our local enamel group so I know it’ll all be enjoyed.
