When I bought this Leopard Lily a few years ago it was stated to be a succulent , but honestly I don't know that to be true.
The leopard lily is drought tolerant, grows bulbs on the side of the parent bulbs and really is a ideal houseplant which propagation is very easy to achieve.
Planting your leopard lily just right at soil levels helps them to not rot. Make sure you keep at a medium moisture but allow to dry out between waterings. #dianemummgardenvideos

I was very happy to stumble across this video! I have one of these that I picked up on a clearance plant rack at one of the big home stores. Mine started out small but has gone crazy. I thought I had remembered reading that they could be propagated by dividing the bulbs, but I wasn't sure. It has a tag, but it was misidentified, so I've been searching and searching... I have always called it a "leopard plant" - it was neat to learn it is called Leopard Lily. Thanks for this video!

Yay! I finally know what my plant is. I ordered some succulents from a grower who was kind enough to send a few extra things. Unfortunately, none of the stuff he sent was labeled, and I've been searching for two days, trying to figure out what I got. It's definitely a leopard lily. This video was very helpful. Thank you!

I finally know what my little leopard lily is called. thanks. It came as one tiny bulb as a stowaway in another plant. It has since grown and multiplied even tho my cat has chewed on it a bit (not after painting the leaves with tobasco). It is a prolific little survivor. And pretty.

I love leopard lilies. Many years ago while living in San Diego, some friends had them. I asked, and was told they were "leopard plants" Well (pre-internet) the ones I could find didn't look like the one I wanted. Then, at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, they had them in the gift shop. WOOHOO! About 10 years ago we moved to Portland, and I had to "rehome" my houseplants. Still wanting one, but not knowing what the name was, I thought I was out of luck. Then, neighbors moved to the East Coast and had to rehome their houseplants. So I got one. Still didn't know the name. I knew it was time to repot, but how? Then I learned they are Leopard Lilies and I saw your video. Just finished dividing and potting. The parent plant was so rootbound, the plants were rather leggy. I hope they do well. I now have 8. Wish me (and them) luck!

I've had one at my daughters in louisiana. And For more than a year it's been forgotten, neglected and i go and trim it, and water it and it takes off growing again and again, it has become my favorite and only plant. I dont even want any other kind anymore. She has became.amazed by it also. I bought it for 99 cents. And my Grandson said ," Really Nanna, you bought a dead plant." I said we will see if it's dead or not. It has become a member of the family. Llol.

Oh man! I have had one of these for over ten years, but could never figure out what it was. I have been taking terrible care of it, as a result, and feeling guilty about it. Somehow, I managed not to kill it, and the pot has, like, 50 bulbs in it now, haha. Such a relief! You get attached to your plants, y'know?

Hi Diane :) I bought a small overflowing pot of these a few summers back. I thought it was a succulent too, but it’s not, tho it behaves like one. It is very tolerant! I have only been watering about once a week, I’ve added it to another plant (which is leggy and tall) it seems to be happy anywhere. But now I am learning more about it and hope to have fuller, more lush leaves instead of long, floppy ones I have now. It’s so beautiful! Happy planting! 🪴☺️

Thank you for sharing! I have these but they are leggy. I have them in regular potting soil and they've done well. The flowers are cute and grow tall but don't last as long as I'd like, but then again, orchid blooms last a couple months. I was afraid to put these bulbs down in the soil but now that I see how well they do, they'll be getting a new pot and cactus mix. Thank you for the information!

They grow like weeds! So easy. A friend gave me a piece years ago and I have so many. They love the sun and when I bring them in for winter they lose their markings without the bright light. They seem to like to be crowed as more and more bulbs form and fall off to replicate.
