House prices are ludicrous and starting up a home can be so hard. Just wish there was a way for companies to actually help out people in need and still boost their sales at the same time. I've found taking apart photo frames and spray painting them (outside) works best when painting frames! I've done it with a few dark wooden ones and turned them into a light grey 😊

That first candle reminded me of Fleabag 😂 Crafts-wise, I think you could really have some fun with decoupage. Essentially it's just gluing paper on hard surfaces but you can use any picture or pattern you like, even print off your favourite photos and whatever you make will be one of a kind. There's a KZbin channel called Dainty Gifts which I love and she's done amazing things with stuff you'd normally throw away as well as upcycled some old things. She's done furniture, picture/mirror frames, empty jars, empty wine bottles, plant pots, wooden boxes, candles, candle holders and so many other things. Her style is shabby chic but you could easily swap it out for something more colourful. If you do a straightforward KZbin search for decoupage you'll find tons of tutorials.

For the frames you may need to put a layer of Guesso on first. It preps wood and stops the paint from soaking in
