I noticed to that when you bring a gift of the rice cakes to your neighbors, they always invite you to come and sit and have a cup of tea. @@eriaz5563 Lunar new year is celebrated by everyone in Asia, while chinese new year is celebrated by only chinese people. i hope this helps, it is also acceptable to wish people in asia or china either one, since most don't celebrate both anyway so regardless of how you greet someone it won't matter much as long as the person you greet is chinese, if they are japanese or korean then lunar new year would be the correct way :)

That is the Chinese New Year, we Chinese use the agriculture calendar, so the new year is Chinese not lunar😡
