Don't worry too much about it, it should be pretty obvious to everyone that you're trying your best and that's really all anyone can ask for. I think most people have been in a situation where they programmed the wrong pronoun into their brain and had to go through that awkward self-correcting process until it becomes natural again, especially if there's somewhere else you need to focus your attention. Great guide as always btw. This and your KoF guides are honestly some of the best and most concise resources on these characters on this platform imo. Its a war crime that more people aren't watching them.

TBF from what I heard they were originally envisioned as being bigendered (so basically he/she/they would all be accurate) but apparently they changed them to agender. And as someone who am myself bigendered I'm kind of butthurt about it. Would have been so cool alternating male/female pronouns. And Testament's theme itself heavily leans on the alteration of male/female pronouns. Oh well, bigendered Testament shall live on in my heart.

17:50 If anyone has trouble I find that the key to getting the wallstick is catching them as high as possible from right under them with the c.S, you want them high enough that the extra hits from grave reaper go under them after the wallstick.

I've been watching your vids since GGS came out. This was an amazing guide, incredibly well worded and simple to follow. The thing I've found so far with Testament is that the specific matchups change the way they play a lot, since some characters really punish using the crow, or using S fireball in certain ranges. I would love to see a matchup guide covering some of the "gotchas" like I-No (Chemical Love beats crow, stroke low profiles 5S) or Nago (clone goes through fireball and jHS fireball gets stuffed by Nago normal during startup), etc.

I like using 6H when I'm predicting jumps. Yeah it's slow, but if you get the read then it will cause ground bounce which you can get a bird or a "Barney" in afterwards. I catch quite a few people with it. I also find myself using "Barney" more than I probably should because 1. I think it looks cool and 2. I feel that Stain State is a bit underwhelming. You definitely had some good tips on Stain usage that I will try, but I really think either of those moves could use a buff to make the character more scary, especially with all of the set up they have to do. But this was a good guide overall. We appreciate your efforts!

Ill skip the essay about Test being honestly just a better Faust and Ill say this: Finally the superior voices for character, I longed for this day ever since I saw you used EN dub for GGSt. My existence has thus been fulfilled, now I can die peacefully knowing it happened (ofc slightly joking but Im glad to hear Testaments JP voice, their EN one is also decent albeit very uncanny - in a good way mind you - ).

Thanks for the great video, as usual. I know it's not related to the video but a little while ago on your video about improving at fighting games, I expressed being pretty discouraged and wanting to drop my main. Just wanted to say I stuck with it and got my first chance at the celestial challenge today! I think a big part of it was finding ratingupdate and its Elo rankings, which helped me focus less on the floors and more on on improving. Plus it let me know that when I got clobbered 0-3 by an opponent I could hardly hit that I was facing someone like 200-300 Elo above me and that made the losses less discouraging.

Correction... teleport does have invul HOWEVER the start up frames are very slow for that move... also you can use crow to break wall after the super combo to get stained again after wallbreak

Arbiter Sign seems most useful to me as an airblock punish after someone airblocks a 6P or 6H. I think it jails, and obviously you get to chose high or low and then you still get to meaty or RRC off of it.

I'm trying out the combos listed in this video and I've noticed that when I use 2HS the enemy is dragged towards me rather than knocked away like in your demos. Is there something I'm doing wrong or did they change the way their 2HS works?

I honestly think more people are depressed due to Testament not being top tier at all rather than that. Fun fact is that theyre not really even exactly non-binary, just androgynous. That does technically fall under non-binary, but then non-binary falls under trans. This shit is just too confusing for my brain, so Ill refer to Testament as only Testament.

I'm nonbinary myself, and it's not somethin I'm gonna get angry about lol. While obviously I'm just one person with my own take on it, unless people are being dicks about it I don't really see it as a huge deal overall. I know people appreciate representation in the cast or identify with the character to some degree and that's awesome! But it's an unfamiliar thing to a lot of people and some people are just unaware. I think letting people know is good and if people ask about it then I think it's a great opportunity to talk about it through something people connect with. But I also think it can kinda dominate discussion of the character in a way that kind of undermines the way the character just seems to not really care about it themselves in the first place, lol.

Hey @diaphone_ I stopped playing with stick even though im familiar with pad/stick growing up but i play pad now. Do you think this is bad for playing Test or Just practice even more? I cant seem to understand this game at all but havent given up just yet. I love guilty gear and am wanting to look into lessons for playing testament since I dont have training partners and work 5 days a week do you think this might help me get to a tournament player level?

I can't tell if I'm shit at the game or if some of these combos don't work anymore, the crouching Heavy Slash sends the enemy towards me instead of just up, idk if I'm missing something here or what but it feels like certain combos are just impossible

I notice that if I fully charge the fire ball the bird doesn't go to the Succubi and instead goes straight ahead. Is this supposed to happen?

It means you held P for too long, which makes the bird go straight. S2 change, useful for calling out ambitious airdash approaches when they just try to go over succubi.
