Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules Spill Review

The title of this movie ties up to the scene where Greg and Rodrick find out that one of Rodrick's party guests wrote "Hi Rodrick" or "Rodrick Rules" on the bathroom door with a black permanent marker.

The reason why adults and some teens don't like these movies as much as much as I do along with some kids and tweens do is because they fail to realize that the comedy from these movies comes from the absurd slapstick comedy situations Greg gets into. Adults and some teens expect the Wimpy Kid movies to have allusions, pop culture references, social commentary, dark humor, surrealism and sexual innuendos. Kids won't get those jokes.

I can't believe Cyrus and Co-Host think the writing of this movie is bad when they should know that two of the writers of Life as We Know It wrote Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 Rodrick Rules and Bad Teacher. This movie has a message. The sweet message of this movie is about Greg learning to sacrifice his self respect for Rodrick best interests and how being himself can bring him unexpected rewards.

I was born with Cerebral Palsy with moderate Spastic Quadriplegia and I tried out to play the role out of Greg Heffley back in Janurary 2009 when I was 13 years old. My audition got 3½ stars out of 5. I'm likeable, optimistic and have great improvisational skills. But I like Zachary Gordon as Greg because he also loves the books series and he plays the role of Greg in a similar way that I would of if I won the role 4 years ago.

I may have Cerebral palsy and for now I may use a walker to walk but I've always wanted to be an actor since I was 7 years old because I was a class clown in Elementary School but as a child, I thought I didn't have enough screen presence to be in a T.V. show or a movie. Besides, Disney Channel wasn't having any open casting calls for new kids to star in their new shows back in 2002. My grandmother advice me to study acting in high school and community college because moving from Massachusetts to Hollywood, Florida or Los Angeles, California is no easy task and some kid actors fail to retain stardom, success, and exposure as adults, making them angry and hurt. With no other interesting casting calls coming my way after my Wimpy Kid audition, I decided to follow my grandmother's advice and study acting in High School for 4 years. Alas, during my 4 years there, my High School wouldn't allow me to join their acting class because handicap students weren't allow to be on the 3rd floor of the school. I was devastated that I couldn't star in any of their school plays because I wanted to show my classmates that I can overcome my physical disability through acting. I can't wait to study acting in community college after I finish my prerequisites within 3 months.
