Interesting video indeed. Diastolic heart failure would increase or decrease the diastolic number? I got a weird problem which my diastolic is increasing but systolic is decreasing. Sometime both of them are high but I believe that I need to find a way to fix my diastolic BP.

If a person's diastolic blood pressure is high, that means the person's heart is not relaxing enough for blood to fill it, correct? And can this then lead to a person experiencing breathlessness or tiredness? Thanks.

Good info, but not a fan of the Ending! Why wouldn't / don't Dr's test for Aortic Stenosis or Cardio Myopothies (sp?) in older patients who suddenly begin to have High BP, especially Diastolic? Why meds first- instead of determining CAUSE . Sigh

No, diastolic is too low. I wish he would have explained what you should do if your diastolic is too low.

My father died from this Hi Diastolic BLood pressure, we got Ecocardiogram, Holter,Stress test a man of 100 pounds skinny, non alcoholic, non smoker, exercising and non diabetic. Doctors said" no findings" and they put him on Losartan twice 50 mg a day and Propranolol twice a day for His Tachycardia!! He died from Dr's whose misdiagnosed him not knowing His Ecocardiogram has important changes!!

there are ways to slow progression of heart failure. make sure she checks in with her doctors !
