extremely satisfying to have this running in the background this morning. I love the attention to detail on the layout, plus the inglenook puzzle.

Great to see this , and that you have more problems than me , and your layout is great and a lot more technical than mine , I just got into N scale and had little room , so built the most simple shunt puzzle , and have have so much fun with it ….

Thank you. Shunting is good fun for sure!

Really cool senic detail. Plus a puzzle. A little consistent attention to track cleaning will equal perfection🎵😁🎶 I work in a warehouse where I see how goods are received manipulated and shipped. So I am able to relate that to my hobby. Railroading is fun

Thank you for your comment. I do clean my tracks before pretty much every running session, but as soon as the camera comes out the locos seem to become camera shy!

@@dibsyardshuntinglayout perhaps it's not the rails. But the wheels.

I was rooting for you! It’s always the same faultless running until you press record 😆. I keep looking to pick up a shunting loco. Thanks for the entertainment 👍👍👍

Ha ha! Yes, every flippin' time! He he! Thanks for watching and rooting!

Hi Dibney. Maybe some new wagons or maybe new smaller flanged wheels would help smoother running. Also check the couplings , sand off the very end piece so that the hook only has the vertical part and not the little bit on the end. Its not like your running them at sppeed around a bigger layout. You might want to watch OOBill's solution to better running with the Pug. He added a small open wagon as a coal tender and the changed the wheels to be extra pickups and the hardwire it to the loco. Just some suggestions. Good luck.

Thank you very much. I do have a tender wagon with pickups. I need to change to thinner cables between the loco and the tender as the wires are too stiff and cause more derailments!

Nice! Good to see realistic speeds for a (very rare) change. And no shitty sound cards to be heard! How do you get such slow running? Shame about the glitches.

For me, shunting a small layout is more enjoyable to do and even to watch than a circular 'railfan' layout. Don't get me wrong-it can be nice to see a long express passenger set go zooming by; but once the train has passed, then what?
@dibsyardshuntinglayout4 ай бұрын
I would like the best of both. A circuit with a few yards to run trains between and then shunt / switch out.

Do you have a video about how you re-geared that loco? 😁
