The audiences are always more intelligent. It’s just that viewing trends have changed. So would u willing to be stuck in traffic, pay stupid parking charges, stand in line and then watch something you would watch at home instead? That’s why it’s tough to market such films.

I have seen past interviews of Dibakar and in this one, he is speaking from his heart and holding nothing in his heart, just like his movie. He also seems to be in a meta state, just like his film. It shows how truthful he stays to himself and his art.

I remember watching Sandeep aur pinky faraar, at PVR Vasant vihar, Delhi on a Thursday evening, in last week of March 2021. Second wave was already looming. And I knew cinemas would shut down anyday. Enjoyed the movie. Wish more people saw it.
