Basically coral release was to merge humanity and Coral into a new species and the AC’s you see around you are likely being controlled by the deceased AC pilots that had older gen Cybernetics that had a bit of coral in them.🐱

Fun bit of history, but the Rubicon was a river crossed by the Roman Army for a decisive battle, as once they crossed it, there would be no turning back, only glorious victory, or death. The phrase "Crossing the Rubicon" became a term for making a change that could have good effect or bad, but could not be reversed, and would have massive ramifications. And the name of the final ending..... "Alea Iacta Est", translates roughly to "The die is cast", which was supposedly spoken by the Roman Commander after they crossed the river Rubicon. Fun how the Name of the game/world ties back into the final ending like that, ah, I adore Fromsoft.

I dont care what anyone says. Iguazu being the fianl boss was awesome, and this was my favorite fight in the game.

that man just killed G4 Volta, betrayed Balam, infiltrated Arquebus all by himself just for revenge against you and now this... he's a true Irregular Raven...

A line that you might have missed in the first phaese just cuz of how this fight plays out, Iguazu mentions that "You killed me. But not just once." which I think implies that there have been some kind of time shenanigans going on, or maybe Allmind has collected simulations of Iguazu, a bastard who is just THAT petty

If you look close, Iguazu already has some Allmind parts in a couple of the mid-game encounters with him. Swapping out his Melander arms for the Mind Alpha ones. Also interesting to note that the Mind Gamma AC itself is partially informed by Iguazu's initial build for Head Bringer. A neat way to show their collaboration had been going on in the background for some time.

I don't really get where people interpret this ending as horrible. The coral is now everywhere, humans and the Coral Voices are now symbiotic, inhabiting machines together, and there's no more reason for corporate resource wars. Coral is likely also powering everything, being omnipresent and all, and one of Cora's qualities is that it rapidly multiplies when nearing depletion, so it won't really run out. Sure, you made a choice for all of Humanity, but the other options weren't really better, and just perpetuated the same vicious cycle. At least this is an opportunity for a new and hopeful paradigm.

Because the whole fear of Coral was that it cant be contained. The coral release was humanities greatest fear, as shown that now Raven as essentially assimilated with the coral in its entirety. Overseer feared this exact outcome, because its the outcome that basically wipes out humanity as you know it to become completely overrun by coral.
