I really like this way of dice and misc set as the misc things are useful other than the notes of the different devils and you get your money's worth instead of just some dice.

Indeed. If it were just dice, I would have no interest in it. Though if they are going to bundle it together, I prefer maps rather than dice. -Theo

There is also infernal script on the four sides of the larger dice tray that you can translate with the key given to you. For those that want to figure it out themselves stop reading. "Bhaal is a naughty god" "Avernus is a hellhole" "Here there be devils" And the last one is "have dice will travel" which sticks out to me as being kind of weird as it seems grammatically strange while not referencing anything from the campaign while all the other messages do. I'm 99% I've translated this correctly so if anyone knows what this means / what this is a reference to then that would be great.

That's awesome! Thank you for providing that info. Heh, "Have Dice Will Travel" is just a play on some famous titles like the 1960s TV/Radio show "Have Gun Will Travel" and the book "Have Spacesuit Will Travel" by Heinlein. Interestingly, the main character of Have Gun Will Travel was named Paladin. -Theo

I would have liked some comments on the durability of the dice tray / box. Is it just cardboard?

Thanks for the feedback! It's good to know what people are looking for in these products. As Jude said, it does appear to be cardboard or compressed cardboard. We weren't sure of the exact material, which is why we settled with saying it felt very solid and durable. I wouldn't jostle it around with heavy weights (like stuffing it into a full and disorganized backpack) and definitely don't get it wet or feed it after midnight. But in terms of regular use on the game table and leaving it around where you live or carrying it around, it should hold up quite well. -Grady

We did order it and plan to review it when it comes out in the same manner as our reviews for the Platinum Dragon Heist set and the Sinister Silver Saltmarsh edition (minus the CGI and costumes). -Grady

Interesting... your reviewed set has percentile die.. I almost bought this based on this review .. but the image of dice included on Amazon shows 2D10s. So nope..

Interesting. I’m not sure what’s going on. My Avernus set was just bought from retail. It wasn’t a “review copy.” I’m not sure if anything has changed in their production since this released. But my Icewind Dale set DID have 2 d10s instead of percentile dice. We’ll have our review of that posted soon. I just checked the Amazon reviews. From what I can see, the Avernus set does have percentile dice (but I see the official picture you’re referring to), but the Icewind Dale set just has two d10s. If you are interested in the set, at least Amazon has a good return policy if something has changed in their production of the Avernus dice, but I think you’ll get percentile dice. -Theo

@@TheGallantGoblin oh really?! That could change my mind.. I absolutely love the silverhand set. The larger d20's is great for me as (when life allows) I dm combat standing and I'm well over 6ft, lol so its a long way down to look at small dice. Thanks for the reply. I will check these out!

Yeah, that was my thought too. I have no use for more dice. I think I prefer them putting the supplementary material with the maps instead. -Theo
