They're all so sweet ❤ this band ended way too soon, but then again maybe the fact they had such a short career is what makes their music feel all the more special

The fact that this band was ran through the mud, and didn't explode in the 80s, is an injustice that can never be corrected!

Great band and fun interview. Those treble-dominant bass lines and free form saxophone were key inspirations for so many bands in the 80s and beyond…even today you can hear Romeo Void’s influence in bands like Deep Tan.

This is a powerful band. I don't know what happened to derail them, but they had it all. Looks, slickness, talent, technique, image, hip, cool and smooth. A complete package!

@ssholes were only concerned with Debora's weight. A complete injustice. This band should have been huge, for all the reasons you listed.

I mean it wasn't too bad. Last time i heard of them was Wolf o Wall Street, Never say never was in a scene. Lotsa things, inner conflict, the producers screwed them, also her looks were unconventional for the times, Iyall had similar struggles as the Heart and Yazoo lead singers, they were not "pretty" enough.

One of the most underrated bands ever. The music sets such a vibe, always featured in films when they want the people to seem cool. Deborah had a unique voice and a strong stage presence.

Had no idea American Bandstand was even still on t.v. in 1984, let alone that they would ever have a cool , rather dark-edged group like Romeo Void on. Clark is being his usual oddly awkward self in the band interview; he was always so uncool he was cool I guess, and he seemed quite open-minded about whatever music was making waves... I guess those kids must've had a blast dancing to "Never Say Never"; it's not exactly "The Locomotion" or "Mashed Potatoes" but it is indeed a hell of a dance record and hot as hell. I still hear it from time to time in dance clubs.

At this point, Dick Clark was chasing musical trends and delivery systems like MTV. I loved American Bandstand but it’s moment in the sun was fading. Dick made American Bandstand last as long as possible. He was on once a week and MTV was on 24/7. Dick was not going to win that battle.

and all of them look almost identical in the most recent videos i've seen of them from several years ago! especially Frank! his appearance somehow has always stayed pretty much the same. Its so sad how only a year after this, they got shut down and called it quits.

The situation is a bit complex and not really as underground as you make it seem - but it sounds like I wasn't clear enough. I want to be clear enough. Can you be more specific? "Everything you talk about in your video makes no sense" - can you point to something specific I said that doesn't make any sense? Thanks

@@ErikaMeyer You're trying to say that the people involved with the band /who made the videos for the band etc,,, orchestrated the bad stuff in you life. That there is a connection. That everything that happened to you and you loved ones was done by the same people and the clues are in the music videos?! I can sit here and try to explain for hours but i don't think it will get through to you. Sorry but i find this theory of yours really crazy!
