Dick Grob left us one month ago,but I wish he could hear me thanking him from the bottom of my heart for his marvelous interview. It ìs the best I've ever seen about Elvis. It should have been taken as an example by some members of his entourage who claimed to be his best friends to know him better than all other people, but they didn't. Mr Grob gave a true picture of Elvis as a man and as an artist, he talks as a gentleman avoiding gossips and respecting his private life.He was so honest to believe what Parker said about the danger to perform abroad because of the security. He was a policeman and could have the connections with the police of other countries. He talks how he used to push out the crowd of fans always with politness. Just like Red and Sonny West did with their rude and raw ways so that Elvis had to pay many lawyers to discharge them. Mr Grob shows to know how Elvis wanted to arrange his music, how he could read different audiences, how he liked to sneak out, to fool people He doesn't mention his excentric behaviours or his addictions, to him Elvis is a soulful ,generous, caring man and the greatest entertainer in the worlds and the man who changed his life and the life of millions of people. So a true friend should speak about Elvis not spreading out half.truths or lies only for money or visibility.

He was such a great singer and entertainer. It is hard to believe a legend like Elvis would be in that time Era. He was so modern it is like he was from all Future time frames. He will always be Elvis . He was not a King but the son of a KING. He is however the KING OF Rock and Roll but not of Earth. He would tell you that.

I think This interview was excellent that Dick Grob did. He never talked bad about his time with Elvis and just like he avoided saying anything about Priscilla asking questions. It was between her and Elvis. He was very interesting and glad he did this interview because now he passed away and there aren’t many left now to tell their story with Elvis. R.I.P Dick Grob Elvis was the greatest singer and entertainer on Planet Earth. Never to be forgotten.❤️🎼🎼❤️

This is my second go around watching these interviews with people that knew Elvis. I really like Dick Grob. Sadly we've lost Dick and recently Ronnie Tutt, his drummer. RIP Dick. All the closest around Elvis(entourage are gone now except for Billy his cousin Jerry Shilling and Sam Thompson) That's why I'm so happy we have these videos for posterity, to hear stories of Elvis and those that knew him and their experiences with him. This is important for the legends of the new young fans to connect to the man as well as his music.

What a great interview. Dick Grob was a man of integrity and honor. I’m so glad I came across this talk with him tonight as it is one of the top I’ve heard so far. Wish Elvis had been surrounded by more people like him who over forty years later kept it classy and shared a lot of great information and stories. RIP Mr. Grob.

What a good interview. I have been an Elvis fan for about a year and am so hungry to hear about him. I remember watching him as a teenager do his 68 Comeback and I remember I could hardly breath! And as I raised my family when his records were played on the radio I knew it was an Elvis song just because my heart would start racing away. Elvis was the only singer that did that to me. One day my girlfriend who is a few years older than me said something about Elvis was her heart throb and again my heart started racing. I thought Elvis Presley and looked him up on the internet and I have been glued to anything I can find out about him ever since. I think I am a fanatic about him. He takes my breath away when I see a picture of him and when he sings I cry. He is intoxicating. He has brought a lot of joy into my life. Just wish I had started sooner. A wonderful person he was. The kindness he showed Dick Grob while he was sitting in that cop car was unreal. That Elvis himself walked down to his car and sat in the car with him and just talked to him. R.I.P. 👑💕💕💕 We love you. Elvis. My daughter is going with me to Graceland in the spring to pay our respects to him and his family. Thank you for your time in doing this interview. God bless.

Every artist has a bad or not as good a show usually because they’re not feeling well or because maybe something happened that day that was very sad or traumatic. That is just part of life and part of being human . People don’t know what someone has been through before they got on that stage . This is a great interview

I truly believe 100 years from now, when all who lived during Elvis' lifetime are gone, that Elvis Presley will still be remembered and celebrated. I predict that in 2120 Graceland and Memphis, TN will have a banner year for attendance. I was very young when Elvis died (5 years old). This video with Dick is very underrated IYAM. It should get more views.

RIP, Mr. Dick Grob. I would have liked to have met him. I've recently moved to LV, NV and now he has passed on. And it's so cool to hear that he's from Toledo, Ohio; my home town! It's a small world. But he left shortly after I was born... So that's the way life goes... And, he must have been a good guy since Elvis Presley hired him on his wedding day! He must have done something very right and continued to do so over the years... It's interesting, think about it, most people are not thinking about bringing on a new hire on their wedding day... #DickGrob #ElvisPresley4Ever

Even though Elvis had to live behind gates, walls, and security personnel information about him was quite accessible to the public. He never drove fans away from his driveway entrances or refused photos and autographs. It was well known that he came from very modest means and with a southern and modest demeanor. This must be the formula that made him so loved for decades. Not to mention his God given talents. It is said that he only had several $Million liquid cash when he died proving that he had given most of his wealth away to charities and personal that surrounded him in the form of wages. I would think that he lived the way that made him feel fulfilled he always wondered “Why Me” why the fame and success?

Good interview . My question is about Jerry Schilling -he started out with absolutely nothing - now he and Priscilla are on top of this “Elvis “ movie They are reaping plenty from Elvis’s Death. Does Priscilla realize she wouldn’t be where she is today had it not been for Elvis? Sooo many people made big and bigger because of Elvis!!! So many many things he had done for her family. Maybe their anterior motives (her parents) What parent cannot manage a 14 year old girl? So so sad!

Obviously it was after Elvis. But at some point, artists started bringing with them their own sound system equipment. Today artists bring it all with them, speakers, lights, etc. Back then they obviously just relied on what was available at each venue. It is not like that these days. If he was performing today, Elvis would have a huge 18 wheeler with speakers, video equipment, etc. in there. He would travel to the venue on a plane after his people had the venue setup with his own video and audio equipment. Tickets to his shows would be well in excess of $100 today for seats in the nose-bleed area. For VIP tix today, Elvis would easily get $1500 per person.

Im not convinced that the Lord holds col Tom Parker innocent in Elvis's death. There weren't no laws back then to prevent anyone itself harm.

The more I look into it the more confused I became. I know what the Lord thinks of all of these hangers on who were just making a stañce. He should have left in the end hang so many creeps they just brought him down.

Dick meant well but was not qualified to discuss with any authority about how Elvis died. What he suggests here is disingenuous, but understandable given his loyalty and friendship with Elvis. All the best research suggests strongly that the toxic level of drugs in Elvis' at the time of his death was consistent with that of an overdose.

The facts are: Per the medical examiners report. Elvis died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease with coronary artery disease which resulted in a myocardial infarction (heart attack) Per the medical examiner, no one could have saved him. There were large quantities of 4 drugs in his system that were for therapeutic use, but not enough to kill him. The medical examiner or coroner are the only ones qualified to make this determination which is based on examination of the body and test results.

@@norway178 The medical examiners present at the autopsy vehemently disagreed with Dr. Jerry Francisco's diplomatic wording of the findings. Francisco suggested that Elvis died of cardiac arrest, consistent with a known history of heart disease. The subsequent toxicology report suggested that there was a sufficient presence of 13 prescribed medications in Elvis' system to support the supposition that Elvis may well have died of poly-pharmacy event, thereby precipitating cardiac arrest. Elvis overdosed, necessitating medical resuscitation, on (at least) three occasions between 1967 to 77. Elvis may well have believed his medication to have a therapeutic effect, but all reports, official and anecdotal, suggest that his abuse of prescribed medications and poor dietary habits, exacerbated highly treatable conditions. Elvis fell foul of a psychoactive dependency that necessitated incremental dosages to have the desired effect.

@@lorichet I hope that brings you some comfort, but Elvis was not the Mills and Boon fantasy figure you imagine him to be. Talented, but inherently flawed.
