I’ve learnt 2 things from this episode: - They were on track to have the worst digital short, as they were out of ideas, yet they ended up with the best in last day - Timberlake had a huge role in the dramatically improved production quality of later Lonely Island musical sketches.

Lonely island boys I know you’ll never read this but you’re my heroes! I’m from Berkeley and go to bhs, and I’ve been pursuing comedy for about a year now. I do stand up at school and my greatest dream is to be on snl. Having your photo on a wire box thing outside of school is legit comforting, it reminds me that people from my neck of the woods can achieve my dreams. I wasn't really a Timberlake fan until he did Dick in the Box. But my favorite thing he did was lip sync the killers song in Tales of the Southland. Very underrated satirical alt teality sci-fi movie.

2 things. 1- totally agree with Seth about LOTR, 2- about 14 years ago I was living in Seoul. Went into a Burger King around Christmas time and what do I hear blasting on their radio but the the Christmas classic- unedited Dick in a Box. Probably should not have been playing at a family establishment...

51:00 Ah, the old "Take 'em away, boyz" ending. Python used the same "busted" technique to end "Holy Grail". But in their case it was a 'God in a Box' curtain drop solution to terminate a meandering sketchy plot. For DIAB it was just a nice button. I think I feel a trope coming on (I'm so pithy).
