Thanks for these; excellently read, as ever. Dickens has such a way with words that he can spin a story like the first one - which has no proper ending - and still make it worth reading (or, in this case, hearing). The second tale is rather like one by M. R. James: you have the impression that this all really happened, in which case, it would indeed be remarkable.

I loved these stories, Mr. French and the artwork. Would you consider reading some stories from 1898 by LT Mead and Robert Eustace about John Bell, who's "A Master of Mysteries." Bell solves some of the most unusual mysteries of haunted houses and unknown entities. Thanks, as always, for keeping us so royaly entertained; it's greatly appreciated 😊🇬🇧
