It’s a cover. This song was composed and written by Han Hong, based on the conversations she had with an orphaned boy she had adopted. This boy survived a horrific cable car accident where 12 people including his parents died and the rest sustained severe injuries. He only had a bruise on the lip. And that was because in those few fateful moments, his parents instinctively grabbed him and raised him high above their heads to cushion the impact. He was 4 at the time. That’s why the lyrics are talking about “I saw papa and mama walk away thus...”

Daybreak...touching story 🙂 Song was writen ang singing for first time by Han Hong ,one of the famous Chinese singer and songwriter. She wrote that is based on a true story, which moved her considerably. At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old kid survived, while her parents both died. Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the kid. This song was written by Han Hong about a real event that happened. There was a cable car crash and 14 people died...a couple held their child up as the car fell and saved his life and sacrificed themselves. Han Hong was so touched by the story that she adopted the kid. It’s a truly beautiful but tragic story

This is a great performance and I watch it often. I also appreciate the Chinese Singer version by Gloria Wu. The back story is incredibly sad and is worth the viewing. He lost his voice prior to the competition and miraculously recovered. God must have been looking out for Dimash that day in order to get him through the performance. I discovered this song almost since I discovered Dimash, and I had this 2 feelings inside me: 1. I felt exactly like you, cause this is a powerful and beautiful song and he is the master of singing, 2. In the other hand, I felt so sad cause I thought: "God, I won't ever witness this talent live and it's so cruel, cause everybody in this world should have the opportunity to see him live". I was so amazed by this performance that I couldn't sleep properly for months... I was so impressed and depressed at the same time. Less than 2 years later, in the past 10/12/2019, I could be in front of him, being just enchanted by his voice, and I was remembering how depressed I was almost 2 years ago, and how lucky I was in that moment. This song is so important, cause it taught me that dreams can be true. Thanks for this reaction guys.

This was a true story. The songwriter who wrote the song actually adopted the child. There was a cable car accident ... the parents listed their 2 yr old son up to safety, and then they fell to their death. Dimash was young when he heard the song and he said that it affected him deeply.

Спасибо ребята эта песня о том как родители спускались на экскалаторе в горах и он сламался. Родители знали что они погибнут, а у них на руках находился двухлетний ребенок которого они сбросили вниз с надеждой что он будет жив. Ребенок остался жив, родители погибли и это реальная история. С какой душой и каким надрывом поет Димаш. Эмоции зашкаливают.

Since then he's had many others medium and large scale solo concerts ranging from 6,000 ppl to 40,000 ppl. Every single concerts were sold out concerts.

When Dimash was at school, his mother was often upset that Dimash remained hungry, because no matter how much money she gave him for lunch, he spends it all on food for kids from elementary school.
