Once again, you've done an amazing job, Curtis. I think what I love most about your documentaries is that you not only give us all the important information but you often answer the questions happening in your viewers minds while watching. The fact you have the insight to know what would catch your audiences eye says so much. Thank you for inviting us on this awesome journey with you!

Wonderful job, Curtis! An excellent insight into the cultural substrate of Pompeii from a different transversal perspective. It has been a honour to give my tiny contribution and a pleasure to see you in action during part of the filming. You are so professional in what you do, meticulous and so spontaneous at the same time. And, more important, you are such a positive person, what you are transpires clearly in this movie. Grazie mille and all the best! You deserve it! Bravo!

You should go to 'the other pompei' Herculanium. Much more intact then pompei. In pompei the ash came from abo e that collapsed all roofs of all buildings due to it's weight. At Herculanium it came in sideways, so much more of the buildings are intact.

@@CurtisRyanWoodside If you ever go to Jordan, you can visit the Black Desert. The most interesting part is located in the Governorate of Mafraq. There are very interesting ruins and geoglyphs there, dated 8,500 years old. They can only be seen from satellites from the outer space and high altitudes (planes, drones and helicopters) and they are awesome as the lines of Nazca in Peru. Archaeologists don't exactly know nowadays what they represent. These ruins really represent embryos of several species in different stages of development and will be able to shed light on the origin of the human being and our planet. When it will be officially confirmed by biologists, this discovery will change the way we see ourselves and the world, they will constitute a destination number one and be a delight for the eyes. Activate the subtitles in English: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJrOh5mKl71lg9E It contains the documentation with the Jordanian authorities about this scientific and archaeological discovery

So well done Curtis! Really captivating! I was fortunate to hire a guide to take my family and i through the ruins and she was so great and informative but the most important thing was her pride and respect for Pompeii. Because it is so well preserved, she was constantly telling people don’t sit and jump up on ledges and stones. That this place is an important piece of history and not their living rooms. I can’t wait to go back and look for the signs of Egypt!

A breathtaking presentation. I am so glad that I held watching it until I have the time to give it my full attention. This is no piece to savour with half a mind on another job. My main sense of regret about Pompei is that, so far, no one has uncovered any of the lost plays of Euripides or Aeschylus. They must be out there, buried in the earth, surviving somewhere. But I am at an age that if they are not uncovered soon I will miss out on hearing them! Thank you for the video! It really is magnificent.

This was brilliant! At the end, all I could think of was how I would have loved to have been in a chariot with you - and you - driving like Jehu. One of your huge hands gripping the reins, the other cracking the whip and the two dark and powerful horses pounding their hooves in thunderous rhythm. And the stars in the night sky over the desert blazing above us. Well, that wasn't going to happen so, I ordered a pizza instead. Great post.
