Tragic ending to the story for the old man. He and Perry created an iconic brand in BMX. Not a huge fan of the direction Todd has taken S.E. but I will not deny that he has revitalized the brand with a marketing spirit that im sure Scot would love. Great content as always.

The P.K. Ripper has been my dream bike since I was about 9 years old. Absolutely no way my mom could afford one back then, but now I have a small collection. 2008 retro black and gold, 2009 Team XLP, 2021 Vans edition black and red, 1990 custom build red and baby blue and a 1982 frame that will be a black and gold resto mod. So many more I'd like to have, but I've been able to refrain for now. Great video and history on the P.K.!

Thanks for sharing your collection. You have some great looking builds. I grew up in BMX late 70's -90's and still ride to this day. I remember a lot of these bikes and I still have most of my BMX magazines from that era. I'm also retired military and unfortunately, not everything from my BMX past survived all the PCS moves. Also cool to see the baby blue scheme live on with the PK Ripper Elite frame set, which I still see out at the tracks tearing it up. It’s not a true old school PK by any means, but great to see SE keep up with the times and give the PK name a modern race worthy rig

I just paused it at 3:47 and damned if that back end doesn’t scream mongoose. Not just the loop tail (I preferred the diamond back, in the day) but the boxed wishbone on the chain stays (80’s mongoose if I ever saw one) I agree,there was a bit of inspirational borrowing of certain frame components… But honestly…diamond back or mongoose loop tail?

Great video. The title kind of threw me off a bit. It's good to see the early years compared to the latter years with what has stayed and what has changed. Two iconic frames/bikes that stand out to me were GT and JMC.
