I saw a review of Roarin Heights in Rekowski and someone in the comments pointed out that the position of the refrigerator is actually a thing of the time (20th), that is, the refrigerators here imitate the first refrigerators that were more like cooling boxes with ice and were kept closer to the entrance or something

It looks like it's meant to have an art deco vibe, hence the windows, lights, and other interior decoration. I honestly love it just for that. Sims 2 also had some really great art deco stuff. Sims 4 is lacking.

Yes!! I’m surprised that we don’t have more Art Deco in Sims 4, we do have some stuff with High School Years though. But I feel like we could definitely use more!! 😎💯

I think the window placement in the first house has something to do with like the arictectual elements of that time (like art deco houses). For some reason there was lot of like corner window things in those kind of houses. (my knowledge about it is so small xD). If this was not like a started house this could have been really cool !! (or like i dunno, it's maxis house 'xD) I dunno why they made it so tiny :o

You did a great job with this build! I love building beach houses in the Sims 3. Unfortunately, I play on Mac, so I suffer from the open-water glitch. My sims can't use the ocean so it basically makes Island Paradise and other beach worlds useless. They're still pretty, though. I wish EA would acknowledge this mistake of theirs and fix it.

I would've made the living room the bathroom and had an open living room / kitchen, but your renovation is cute! And your interior design is cute. All my sims' houses end up brown. 😛 I'm bad with color palettes.

I do like the backdoor to the beach, but it didn't make sense with that weird floor plan! I love these videos. Makes me want to plan in Roaring Heights with the Architectural Design career.

I think they used those lights because they come with Roaring Heights and fit the Deco style. The cabinets, for deco style as well.

That's cool how you redone that house and I agree there's no way a sim could deal with the previous mess-every house I see that ea dropped the ball on I'm thinking can I have the name of the food or drink they had before they built that, so I know what to avoid? I rebuild houses in my Sims 3 game too. There's three houses I had to demolish to start over because all other options were exhausted. Thankful I don't have to demolish otherwise because I can always make it work otherwise.

@@Devillishghosty Honestly I’d propably delete the catchlight and the landscaping at first. Then I’d go to university and the future. Propably shack up with the hot black guy from the dormitory. Marrying him propably gives enough simoleons to go live in a bigger house or at least to have the second floor for the bedroom and the first floor for everything else.
