Wow! What absurd is that? First Eritrea has paid heavy price for her independence, not good will of any country including Ethiopia. They had no power to say no but to cooperate. 2nd: Ethiopia is 70km away distance fro Eritrea’s coastal border, not 30 as you’ve mentioned

Why do Eritreans always bend the truth? First of all, the video says 30 miles, which is around 70km. Also, Ethiopia could have absolutely said no and Eritrea could have ended up being a de facto state like Somaliland.

This video is a total misinformation. Eritrea didn't achieve independence because Ethiopians helped it do. In fact it was the Eritrean eplf liberation fighters who helped liberate the whole Ethiopia upto addis abeba. The dergue was overthrown through these operations and the EPRDF was secured by eritrea fighters as the guards in the state palace until 1993. The referendum was organized and held upon the Eritrea's will as proclaimed by the eplf in 1981 and not as this video stated "because Ethiopia organized it". Its important to see history in its real dimensions
