I love watching these old Dick Cavett shows so much, they’re each a perfect beautiful moment in time, and Cavett always had conversations with his guests, instead of hurtling questions at them.

Love him. His movies with his dancing were great to watch and very entertaining. Too bad that they are not much shown at the TV nowadays. 👍💐

I Love Fred too, what a class act he was! TCM ( Turner Classic Movies )still shows them on a regular basis and so does the channel " Movies " both formats show mostly older classic American films from the 30, through 70's with some newer shows thrown in occasionally!

The Beatles probably liked him too. I would give them that much credit. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if he was included on their Sgt. Pepper album cover. Maybe not, but I'd like to think so.

It's amazing to see Fred Astaire move from his shy personality during the first part of the interview and then take over as the powerful performer he was when he sings the two songs he wrote. I love it that Astaire was listening to the Beatles.

Whenever McCartney is asked his favorite songs, he usually lists mostly 50’s rockers with the exception of “Cheek to Cheek”. He also referenced Fred Astaire while performing “You Gave Me the Answer” with Wings.

We had Dick Cavett and Johnny Carson; now we have the two Jimmys, both of which are the epitome of the word 'tool'. Dick was such a classy, yet down to earth in depth interviewer.

Fred Astaire was an extreme perfectionist, and would practice for months each dance scene to get it perfect ,people with such dedication to perfection have always been a very rare commodity, so thankyou Fred, and I'm sure you're in heaven dancing with an Angel,

I do have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rarities much like all the other Dick Cavett interviews
