Congratulations on starting your journey. I have just reached my goal of losing 55 pounds. I used tirzepitide and it took 8 months. So, slow and steady is the reality for most folks. I had no side effects and feel great. The best part was feeling in control of my eating. I hated always feeling like the food had the control. This medication put the control in my hands, and that has been the best feeling ever. I wish you happiness and good health.

I was on Ozempic and didn’t lose but a few pounds. I then tried victoza for over a year with only losing and gaining between 10 lbs. I decided to try zepbound and the weight has finally been falling off. I had a gastric surgery 3 years ago and lost 50 lbs but needed to lose more. Since starting zepbound 3 months ago I have lost 27 lbs. it’s the only medication that has worked. I’m at 10 mg and getting ready to have my doctor bring it up to the next dose. This is now the lowest I’ve weighed in probably 15 years now. I’m very happy with it and luckily my insurance company covers most of my it and I only pay 30.00 a month. Good luck 🍀

Oh wow! I've never heard of Victoza. I HAVE heard very good things about Zepbound. I've heard sometimes it takes trying different GLP1 to find the right fit for your body. I hope this is the one for me, but you never know! Congrats on your weight loss though! Great accomplishment!

Hi! You explained your reasoning for wanting to take this medication so well. I’m a nurse & I see so many people with complications from diabetes. I was so impressed with how much work you put in to doing your research. I sincerely am praying that you get the results you want. You are right, at some point it becomes more important about how you feel & your health rather than just being thin. Love your channel & look forward to you sharing your progress 😘

I started Weight Watchers in July and I've lost 40 pounds. Going from 261-221 and I've only lost ONE pants size. I went from an 18 to a 16. Here to support you on your journey! Sending love!

You can pinch me! ☺️☺️☺️ Patrick and I have been really lucky not to have some of the worse side effects. You really should keep up with your bms- it slows you down so much! I don’t care if that’s gross to say, either. You don’t need to lose weight for aesthetic reasons. You are stunningly beautiful. With all the new research coming out though, about how it’s unhealthy to be overweight, I understand the “want” to lose it. The shots are the only way I could lose it, and I tried everything, even terribly unhealthy things. It’s also stabilized some of my labs. I hope it continues to work well for you, friend!

Thanksgiving doesn't have to be about quantity. It can be about quality instead. Quality of the food you eat, the friends you have, and the family members around you . This mentality regarding stuffing ourselves up has to change. It's gross when you think about it.

I do 20 squats each time I brush my teeth. (I've done that for years.) Multi-tasking at its best! Getting 100+ grams of protein can be challenging. Costco sells pulled chicken breast in 3lb packages. It's high protein and very tasty. I also love cottage cheese, and eggs are my all-time go-to. Very versatile, inexpensive, high-quality protein!

I want to take Ozempic but cannot afford it even though I am diabetic and my insurance will not pay for it. At my heaviest I was 343 and I had full gastric bypass in 2001 and lost down to 198, I had diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. when I lost the weight, I came off all medications and only took supplements because of the gastric bypass. During my weight loss journey I got pregnant one year after my surgery and did not lose any more weight and I gained 8 pounds during my pregnancy. After having my son at only 26 weeks, I put on 8 more pounds the 3 months he was in the hospital. Since losing the weight, I made the mistake of thinking I could eat whatever I wanted. When my son was 6 I got married and at that point I weighed about 225, I still ate small portions but ate terrible and snacked. After getting married, my husband was home before me and cooked heavy meals and I was at 280 pounds in 2017 when I had a knee replacement which was the maximum weight my surgeon would operate. Since I was able to be more active I lost 20 pounds, but I cut out all carbs during my recovery since I was back on diabetic meds and was worried about healing. I tried dieting and just could never really lose more than maybe 10 pounds. I was a grazer if I would describe my eating habits, I still ate small portions but ate throughout the day. My diabetes was out of control because my eating habits were so bad. About a year and a half, I decided to try something different. I had always eaten until I was full. I started interment fasting and I watching my portion size. I stopped eating breakfast and have coffee in the morning that curbs my appetite. I try to eat between 12:00 PM TO 6:00 PM. I use a very small 2 cup bowl for my meals to help with portion control, I stopped snacking and I try to eat light in the evenings so that lunch is primarily my biggest meal. Dinner is usually just yogurt or coffee to curb my appetite. It took a year to lose 60 pounds. I currently weigh 205 and wear 14/16. I am 57 years old. The biggest change I feel is that I eat and stop when I am satisfied and do not eat until I am stuffed. I listen to my body and feel when I am not hungry and I stop eating. There are times if it is really good that I have over eaten and I feel miserable because I am stuffed. I want to lose 20 more pounds so I am under 200 and if my weight fluctuates a few pounds that my bmi is just over weight and not morbidly obese anymore. Sorry it was so long.
@UhapiBeauty20 күн бұрын
Wow you are such an inspiration!! It sounds like you finally found something that works for you. My husband drinks coffee and says the same about it being an appetite suppressant. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the taste of coffee, but can only have a sip or 2 before the hot poops come. LOL! In the morning, I usually have a sip of my husband's coffee and then hand it back over. I'm so proud of you for doing what it takes. Diabetes really scares me. My cousin went through years of misery, from foot ulcers that would never heal, then she lost her leg. Her husband didn't cook diabetic friendly foods, so in a way (and as a protective cousin) I hold animosity toward him for not helping her. Ultimately, she had to choose what went into her body. I truly believe that insurance companies should pay for it, especially for those it was originally designed for. They're unfortunately in the market to make money and can't do so with a healthy population. Anyway, wishing you the best of luck and love. XO

Wegovy user here. 9 month and 60lbs down. I’m moving slow but it’s going down. I plateau a lot and I contribute that to my peri menopause. Wegovy is same as Ozempic incase you didn’t know. I will tell you they are seeing Glp’s are helping with mental health as well, and I see it. I’m definitively seeing the reduction inflammation. I have fibromyalgia and rarely see a flare! I wish you well on this journey and hope you get the results you want! I’m still remaining on it because I’d like to be down at least 100lbs.

I am so happy for you and congratulations on your results! You mentioned you have a goal weight, I’m curious as to what happens when you reach that goal. As someone who’s struggled with weight their whole life, I’m definitely curious but I’m afraid of once you stop, will you gain the weight back? I’ve heard so many stories. It just makes me nervous. Are most people able the maintain their weight and keep the weight off once they stop taking the medication?
@UhapiBeauty20 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! I've heard a lot of people say they were able to keep the weight off and others say they gained some. I'd guess if I don't (or won't) learn better eating habits or have a better relationship with food, I would gain it back. For now, I'm hopeful for a good outcome. I think the main thing is to keep a calorie deficit while on it and learn portion control for the times I'm off.

I started 2.5 on November 7. Switching to 5.0 next week. I’ve lost 12.00. I think it’s a miracle drug. I had to give up eating out too. Im single and I was going to 4 times a week. Which is $400. The same amount Im paying for the 2.5. The 5.0 is $549. Im on SS. I will die poor anyway. At least I’ll be healthy. My doctor orders it through Lily Direct.

Watch out for semiglutide burps! started on Ozempic .25 around October 10, 2024 and now I am up to .75. Everything felt good until .75. I guess semiglutide gas is a real thing! Whether you eat anything or not. Google it. Especially the day after I’ve taken the injection I’m so bloated from the gas and you don’t want to be around me for 24 to 48 hours! lol. Also nauseated for a good day or two after my injection.
@UhapiBeauty20 күн бұрын
Now that you mention it, I have been burping a lot more lately. Probably the semaglutide! I also noticed I'm a bit constipated today. I hope it's just a one off thing, but I bought some fiber gummies that someone suggested in a forum I was reading. Hoping that does the trick!
@mhenry424820 күн бұрын
@ constipation it’s also a side effect. The medication does something where you don’t eliminate the food you eat that much. And with the nausea, indigestion and gas, you don’t eat as much because you’re full and bloated. Great idea getting those fiber gummy‘s.
