That was Tim Scott and I believe a wonderful person. I appreciate this guidance and we should all be careful on how we state things of our Lord and Savior. I believe Christians understand and I also believe these horrific acts cause horrific responses at times. The most important thing to remember as Christians is to pray for one another and for discernment. I don't believe making some of these comments are adequate. There is not a time for laughter about any event such as this. Granger you are awesome and I appreciate so much your messages and even watch you when you preach. @Joenerk potentially. Or Satan did since he controls the earth. But maybe. Because things changed drastically after Hitler. You could argue in the grand scheme of thousands of years that he was a necessary evil for humanity to extinguish. You can't have good without evil. You can't have rich without poor etc etc. Life will never be, nor can it ever be, perfect for everyone in every way. But it is temporary. Idk if you can say God saved Hitler the same way. Trump's head turning was completely off script and random at the perfect moment as the trigger was being squeezed. I dint think Hitler had similar situation. Plenty of close calls sure. But he was also heavily guarded. Where as with Trump, every card in the deck was against him. He should have died right there and didn't by the very action of a head turn and forward lean. And I used to believe in coincidence, but throughout the years I learned that it's almost never coincidence. And not just from a God standpoint but in general. God isn't a puppet master after all. God isn't controlling every second and every action of reality. But events leading up to, played out how they did for a reason and by design. I used to never believe that kind of stuff until it happened to me, in a way that wasn't possible

This is not how America is supposed to work. But Trump is not trying to save America. Listen to him. He makes veiled threats for violence, he wants to destroy the Constitution. He called for his followers to overthrow the government. He thinks women are objects for his pleasure and he should be able to grope them and have sex with them any time he wants. He doesn't pay his debts and cheats on his taxes. That's only a partial list of this man's behaviors and I use the word "man" loosely, here. Does this sound like a savior to you?

Hello Granger, Brayden here I am 19 years old and I have a question have a that’s been on my heart and mind for the last few months. At the beginning of the year I found Jesus Christ, God and the Holy spirt that led me to a loving Christ centered church. It has changed my life for the better and removed me from partying and drugs and girls. This has been the best year to date but I recently rebuilt a truck and am starting a mobile welding business and want to rebuild my grandpas old ford. I have been feeling like I’m doing these things for the world and out of pride. I give 10% to my church and serve at it when I can but the thought of spending money on something like these trucks has made me feel like I’m not serving the lord in the way I should be and living for the world and things that don’t matter and not the lord. I would love your advice on this matter. Thank you I love your podcast and music.

Pastor Marshall, John Piper wrote "When I weigh the kind of imperfection involved in tolerating an invalid baptism because some of our members are deeply persuaded that it is biblically valid, over against the imperfection involved in saying to a son or daughter of the living God, “You are excluded from the local church,” my biblical sense is that the latter is more unthinkable than the former. The local church is a visible expression of the invisible, universal, body of Christ. To exclude from it is virtually the same as excommunication. . . . Very few, it seems to me, have really come to terms with the seriousness of excluding believers from membership in the local church. It is preemptive excommunication. In other words, it’s wrong for a church to exclude anyone from membership whom they’re confident is a Christian." I would encourage you to not deny membership to followers of Jesus based on baptism. A believer who was baptized in the PCA church, who is solid on their paedobaptist convictions, should never be denied membership into a body of believers, especially if there is not a local PCA church near them. I was raised in the PCA church under the late Dr. Harry Reeder, a family friend and spiritual grandfather. I am still PCA by conviction, but I have been denied membership into multiple Southern Baptist Churches. I believe that I have been baptized, and I also believe that to be "rebaptized" in front of an SBC congregation would be dishonest because I would have to denounce my first baptism. My husband and I recently moved and I was permitted to join a smaller Baptist (SBC) church, and finally being permitted to partake in membership of a local body is a tremendous blessing.
@benhight6586 ай бұрын
I believe that you are completely misunderstanding what baptism is. (1peter 3:21)There is also an antitype which now saves us-baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. You are not baptized into a denomination you are baptized into Christ. (Galatians 3:27) “ For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.“

I believe the point is that baptism doesn't save anyone. It is something you do AFTER being born into the kingdom through Jesus and His blood.

The point is not true especially when you consider 1peter 3:21 “there is an anti type that now saves us-baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, To say that “baptism is a secondary issue” is false, when we put more importance in other parts of the gospel, we are picking and choosing what we think are important. Every single conversion in the New Testament baptism was an immediate action. Not an “outward sign of an inward grace” please study your Bible and see for yourself whether or not baptism is just a sign for the outside world.

We need to stop seeing who God is through our situations and see our situations through how God has revealed Himself to be through scripture. That point hit home and hit hard. Thank you for saying that. I've seen people ask, and rightly so, that if Trump being spared proves God's protection over him, then what about the guy who died and the other two who were injured? Does that mean God didn't care to save them? Folks are doing exactly what Marshal is talking about here. In all of this, I think about what was said in Daniel 3 when the three were threatened with the fiery furnace for now bowing down to Nebuchadnezzar's image, "16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[c] from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” They knew God could save them, but they didn't know if God would choose to save them, but whether He did or didn't, their obedience to His will would not change. Really appreciated this discussion this morning.

Let me say it this way. God is 100% sovereign and in control of what we 100% turn over to him and give him control over. 2 Peter 3:9 says, 'God wills that NO MAN should perish.' Yet, we see men die, perish, turn their back on God and go to Hell daily. Does that mean God chose for them to perish or go to Hell? No. John 3:16 [paraphrased] says that God will save ANYONE who believes in him. We are 100% sovereign over our own life. However, and should we turn that sovereignty over to God - THEN, God can 100% control the outcome of OUR life. But ONLY our life. (And we see promises for that in Psalm 91, Psalm 112, etc). The grey area. And where I personally believe all the confusion comes is when there are people caught in the middle. For example. There is a certain percent of the world 100% sold out to satan (let's say 10%). A certain percent 100% sold out to Papa God (let's say 10%). Then there are 80% in-between. (Where parts of them are sold out to satan. And parts of them are sold out to God.) What happens to these people depends a lot on the prayer of others (which is why regular prayer is such a big deal. And why prayer for Trump is such a big deal). Also, HOW MUCH, or which parts are sold out to whom - is a big deal. But God isn't running the show. Not like you think. Remember. God created the devil. The devil grew up with God as his "Father." He lived and walked in the very presence of God. Yet he still freely chose to rebel. I'm sure God tried plenty of times to show him the right way to go. But the devil was his own being. Just like we, on earth, only have control over other who GIVE us control. Anyone with kids understands this :) Anyone with an American wife understands this :) So yes. God is in control. But ONLY over what we GIVE him control. Hope that makes sense :)

Do I believe God spared Trumps life, yes I do, do I think that this may be our last chance to have a saving, turning back to the Gospel and our Lord and Saviour much like when God command Jonah to go preach in Nineveh, after spending his time in the belly of the great fish he did go and preach in Nineveh and it was saved. When Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, Abraham asked God to spare it for a few good souls, alas there were none. Our God is mighty sad all things are in his power and He has a reason for all things, not our will but His. We all have sin in our lives on a day to day basis that's why I find myself asking for forgiveness. I never want to be separated from my Lord and as to signs..Jesus said there would be no signs, good thing that I'm not looking for a sign that He exist my faith in Scripture is all I need. From the book of Genesis to Revelation every word is true and though I am poor and I struggle daily, my Lord has blessed me and he loves me, no one can take that from me save for my Saviour, and had I been the one that lost my life at that rally, it would mean it was what my Lord wished to be and that's all I or anyone needs to know.🤲🙏❤️

God saved Trump because God is sovereign, but, God didn’t save Trump because he’s Republican or Trump but because God is sovereign over all things.

I'm praying President Trump wins the next election because the Country is so screwed. If we continuing on this path, the economic downspiral headed into recession, it will be awful. Life will be very difficult.

You literally sound just like Trump. Get the facts first.

Determinism is stupid, God Wills to save all. His great ‘limitation’ is that he won’t interfere with Freewill.

They were outside playing lightning and thunderstorms in the rain they had got hit by lightning, God felt that river would be safer with him than his own parents so Granger I don’t want you all the time anymore but if you go back to those old videos of River, that pool was not secure or three year-old child and you live with the guilt
