A GS13 making $150,000 + 100% A&A with 4 kids. That should be another $50,000 tax free. Yet you are making money on youtube, charging for the REAL info that you dont give out here. You spent almost 2 years bashing Claim Consultants and then you joined them. How many Vets did you screw out of their Benefits? How many companies lost money because of your bad advice? My husband used a guy named Will who actually suggested your videos even though he knows you bash his work. You clearly are in this for yourself.

@lg77288 күн бұрын
@Stormvet9091 Yes, you were at a disadvantage. I retired 23 years ago, 1 Jun 2001, and I had the Internet and a Transitioning Assistance Program (TAP) briefing. I had a major road block when a VA volunteer reviewed my service treatment records (STR) and told me that I didn't have any disabling conditions that I could claim. I guess the volunteer could not see my complaints for knees, feet, low back strain, shoulders, headaches, sinusitis, and rhinitis in my STR. I filed anyway and received 30% in 2001. The law was passed 1 Jan 2004 that enabled veterans to receive both VA disability compensation (50% or more) and military retirement. I started receiving VA Compensation effective Feb 2007, 50% (an appeal from Feb 2007 to Aug 2015), and 100% Jan 2014. I learned about VA secondary conditions from Chris Attig's (VA attorney and veteran) website in 2012. Chris was very helpful! Thanks to God, that gave me the strength and knowledge to understand the VA website and VA claim process. One final comment, you may know this, military members (under the Benefits Delivery at Discharge Program) are allowed to file for VA disability compensation six months before departing service.

I’ve been out of the military since 2003. I submitted my first claim on my own for 4 conditions in 2016. I had no clue of what I was doing. Two conditions were denied and the other two were rated 0%. I got discouraged and didn’t even appeal. Life got in the way and I was focused on other things and didn’t think about it. In 2023, I decided to submit another claim, but this time I use the help of someone who was assisting veterans with their claims at a VFW. She went through my medical records and identified a lot of conditions I didn’t know I could claim. She filled out a supplemental for my denied and 0% rated conditions and a claim for all the new conditions. I got my first decision in April 2024 and my second in June 2024. My third decision is still pending, however, I submitted a claim for an increase and for secondaries in September 2024 with evidence. They combined both claims and I completed a C&P exam last week for the conditions in both claims. I checked the status and they’ve already made a rating decision. It’s now in the decision letter step. I’m almost at the finish line. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The claims process is not explained very well at all from the very beginning (while out processing). My last discharge was out of Ft. Drum and meeting with an FDVA rep asked be about aches, pains, injuries, etc. and filed claims for me. I had no idea what VA disability was, so did not go to the C&P evals. I thought it was like SSDI and refused to accept money to not work. Fast forward almost 15 years later and I start working for the VA (VHA). My supervisor and three co-workers jumped on me about not being service connected. They explained what it is, and helped me to understand VA disability and disability compensation. It has been a game changer. I was first referred to a company, then a second company, then got scammed so focused on learning from content creators like you. Changed my family situation tremendously. That’s Veterans looking out for Veterans. I do my best on a daily basis to pass it forward by having similar conversations and sharing content like this to help other Veterans figure out the best course of action for them. As usual, thank you again for your content and all the best to you and yours!

I filed my initial claim years ago in 2011 and just submitted for increases in June as well as pact act claims in june of this year. Yes, I did everything myself. I watched a lot of KZbin videos like yours and others. I submitted my claims all by myself, and I received a substantial increase. The VA rater also suggested that I file for something else, which I filed for the day that I got my claim back on october third. I'm currently waiting for that to come back and then I have an intent to file for some other things. But of course, I have a year to get that all together. the works as well. I think it really comes down to just educating yourself and understanding 38 CFR and your "conditions" and how they mesh...or not. Wishing you all the best!

I was denied for my lower back in 08 and again in 09. I was service connected this yeas because I found my STR from one of my post deployments that stateside I was knocked unconscious in a car accident. Come to find out that because it was in my STR’s, it is considered a CUE “Under 38 C.F.R. 3.156(c), a veteran can receive an earlier effective date if VA denied their original claim for service connection, and then later obtained service records in a subsequent claim that substantiated the veteran’s original claim.” I talked to VERA last week and let me know I was correct and it should backdate to 08. Ill keep you posted once I find out for sure

Submitted a fully developed claim with a lot of evidence, went to the C&P exam and submitted a form they requested from me supporting my claim. VA denied my claim because they overlooked the form they requested from me. I looked in the files section and there was the form submitted, reviewed and accepted. I have requested a high level review since this is a clear undeniable error on the VA's behalf. So frustrating to get denied because of a VA employee oversight.

Clay, When evaluating oneself amongst the opinions of those seeking counsel, it is important to remember the point at which they are encountering the help and the point at which the help is being distributed. Undoubtedly, you are at a different point from where you started this particular portion of your journey. You should expect to come across to newcomers to your counsel differently than those following you and others in this genre for years. You answer your own question best by asking for the input and the reaction of any responders. The genuine approach of the ask and the ability to respond to the comments, while acknowledging inherent biases on both sides, not only give you the answer you seek, but also indicate to yourself where you are in your growth process. I am sure I have not given any information in this short comment of which you are not already aware. Hopefully this is just a reminder that your own unbiased opinion of yourself is the only one that should have lasting effect.
