Love Englishman River Falls PP! I was kind of kicking myself for not going further down the trail to where you guys were standing. But then i thought, then all my shots would look like yours 🫤. Kind of glad i didnt go there now. 😥. Either or, theres so much there. Would live to see the lower falls with all that water. Thanks Adam!

The jammed log in this instance is an asset to the composition, often not the case. I’m sympathetic to Brian’s fungi distraction. The past three months I’ve become obsessed with fungi. Once I started paying attention they are everywhere in our forest, and irresistible.

One of my favorite subjects is waterfalls. Usually find me near one when I'm out. I love the abundance of compositions here. It's a relaxing place when you know there's composition everywhere. I also like the bw shot because it verifies to me that a bw of a waterfall is often times a better way to exhibit your composition. Just an observation.....when I watch Bri's vlog he is always serious, he's always on subject, and he doesn't seem to smile as much. The minute you two get together he turns into a laughing giddy clown. Kind of makes me wonder Just what kind of hooch are you giving him?😂😂 Love the LEE FILTER plug. Great one as always. Gives me some ideas on waterfalls here.

I will never forget how kind you were to me to help with my travel tripod on Deception Island in Antartica. Merry Christmas! That black and white of the waterfall is great. I'm always disappointed when I find logs across waterfalls. Clearly I'll have to work harder to incorporate them rather than complaining. I picked up one of these Heipi (pronounced 'happy') tripods after I saw Mads Peter Iversen do a mini review and I'm pretty impressed, although I only have generic $40 tripods to compare it to so my experience is limited. Two things I would add: It has a 3rd option for low angles - the mini tripod/centre column can go in upside down and get you even lower than the fold flat design of the tripods which still limited by the height of the ball head. And that flimsy little clip is a lot stronger than it looks. Mine was a bit loose and I was abusing it screwdrivers and pliers trying to figure out how to tighten it. Turns out you just pull it out and rotate it one notch so it can clamp down even tighter. When I realised how it actually worked I was surprised I hadn't broken it in the process but it survived something it should never have been put through.

From watching your video I discovered that I was in the same place on Friday. On Sunday I decided to go back to see if I missed any shots. As I crossed the bridge I looked down to see if any other photographers were down there. I noticed this guy crouched down with his arms flailing around. I then looked harder and noticed your trademark pants and hat, you were talking to yourself. I thought best to leave you to finish your conversation and I went back the next day! Nice images! It is also my favorite waterfall to shoot.

Around minute 08:00, how did you get to the shutter speed range of 1/2 to 1/5. What in the scene made you take this decision and why? I really appreciate how you bring to us your experience from the field to the print. Thank you.
@QuietLightPhoto11 ай бұрын
Faster shutter speed had a bit more texture in the water at 1/5th. In the grand scheme of things the difference is not that noticeable but at the time I thought it was. To get a faster shutter speed I raised the iso. Cheers!

I don't see why it wouldn't. There are a couple of little screws that you would have to remove before for longer plates.

There's a strange contradiction espoused by the majority of landscape photographers - they hate patches of white sky but risk life and limb getting to waterfalls to get white water in the shot.
