Yeah he stood them up then but he also sat them back down when Leon used the fence to get up(ignoring Usman using the fence at least 7 times but it's cool) and Usman was unable to keep him down. Nobody complaining that they got put back on the ground....what if Leon got choked out? We're nitpicking here....Leon won let him enjoy it

@Ed Balls he grabbed the fence like 7 times in this fight and never had anything done. Leon grabbed it twice and was immediately called out for it and had to go back to the position. Usman has done this garbage his whole career. Point being if someone is getting favor it's definitely Marty.

As much as I respect Usman he definitely grabs that fence anytime he can also herb warned him to stay busy in the clinch several times in the 5th and he wasn't staying busy so it's Usman fault at the end of the day

Thank u; @ some point you meet your Kryptonite & for Edwards to Kick Usman's head into outer space on a night when the High Altitude that favored Usman's Training "Zapped" Rocky, is impressive & doesn't bode well for Usman to execute his plan in the Trilogy; getting hit by a non - power striker like Covington is one thing; getting popped by a "Next Level" Sniper w/ Dynamite in the hands is another, and my hunch is Usman can't take many Power Shots: The Matchup Problem for anyone who respects Edwards skills going into UFC 278 that didn't happen, will materialize next time: bettors that will buy into the "Usman Dominated / Leon Got Lucky " Narrative & ignore the historical data that Immediate Rematches favor the Belt Holder, will go broke upon seeing Usman crumble & fail the "Check a Chin" Test, & wonder why they thought he had a chance; but I've been wrong more than once

Guys talk about all Usmans cheating throughout the years 1. Cage grabbing (done it since TUF days, search it up, did it multiple times this fight without punishment, Leon did it once this fight and got reset) 2. Glove grabbing 3. Headbutts 4. Faking nutshots and eyepokes 5. Back of the head shots 6. Most likely on PEDs (Injection marks on stomach and shoulder + acne as a world class athelete in 30s + clearly roided up brother + insane size whilst maintaing 5 round cardio AND power + sub 10% bf year round whilst training non stop + dad is in the pharmacutical field, havinh been caught scamming the government in the past + ex-Blackzillians fighter + receding hairline a side effect from roids)

U make some good points, and Colby said he was the CEO of EPO: if it were to be discovered, like w/ TJ Dillashaw, are the results of the fights overturned? they didn't do it w/ D' Shaw, so it appears no legal action would be taken, but Usman is a bigger star; Regardless, all of that "boosting" can't stop the speed & precision of a Supersonic Head Kick, please believe after Usman's head flew out of the arena

Nobody speaking about Edwards switching stances with faints and baits by starting attacking the lower body and then the upper body in every single round while Usman was southpaw all the time. lol, for all of the offense Edwards failed to generate, & I do believe the High Altitude "Zapped" him, he downloaded valuable data, which will help him in the Trilogy where he will be "On Fire" to find openings; Whitman was laughing between rounds & like his pupil thought he couldn't be touched; how did that turn out? Surprised they found Usman's head to Glue Back On to be Interviewed, and to his credit, he praised Edwards: how could he not?That was a Head Kick Clinic 101 in setting someone up to be Executed; or Decapitated

He's overly Biased; and in need of an a..s whipping by someone if he bothers to shut his mouth & fight somebody, talking crap to O' Malley & everyone else; hell I'd like to see Mighty Mouse rematch him, but now they're training together, plus there's no "Cross Promotion" for any Monster Matchups, which is a shame; that would shift the wheel on fighter pay & the UFC having a Gridlock on the market, but Dana would never do that; the Fighters need to Unionize, w/ o the Champions, who make more $$$, and if they don't come to an agreement, leave for the PFL & Bellator: Nate Quarry is working w/ Lawyers on those issues

Exactly, ref separated them with about two minutes left for no reason other than for the show. Earlier he told Usman to work, lets work while he was working 100% with wrestling control and knees upon knees. It was odd, but congrats Edward, however it was a bit lucky to get that separation help from the ref.

That's got to be the stupidest statement about this fight. Leon should have lost a point for a cage grab when Usman literally grabbed the cage 3 times more then Leon and never got anything for doing it but gaining position from cheating. So if Herb helped anyone it was Usman not Leon.

We all can talk about what could’ve and should’ve been done for Usman but we cant take away that beautifully timed head kick. That’s one of the hardest thing to do, head kick a champion let alone knocking him out with it. Usman is still a beast but Edwards legit dethroned him single-handedly with that kick

Henry's bias is glaring. You're upset with a ref that only penalized Edwards for fouls, but let Usman grab inside the glove, grab the cage, and punch the back of the head without any repercussions at all? That's not even to mention the faked nut shots and eye-pokes throughout his career. Usman is a reliable cheater and consistently gets partial treatment (whether intentional or not) from refs. I don't like referee intervention, but Herb let Usman inactively stall on the cage for minutes before finally separating them. The one time a ref applies the rules fairly in an Usman fight, Usman lost. Go figure. If you want to be respected as a coach, you have to be fair and objective. Instead, you show the level of integrity typical of an Ali fighter.

Seems like it, or he's extremely lucky in getting the breaks; it's telling when the Conditions where u Train (Above Sea Level) handicaps a "Zapped" opponent, gives u the advantage to Dominate, and still get knocked TF out on a man's worse night; tells anyone w/ a brain the reign of Usman is over & the Trilogy will officially end it, because Edwards on paper was supposed to be a Matchup nightmare for those who respect his skills: Trilogy night, minus the High Altitude is going to yield a much sharper "On Fire"performance 'by Edwards that will leave bettors that bought into the narrative "Usman Dominated & Leon got Lucky" reeling, broke, & wondering why they thought Usman had a chance; it's one thing to hit by Colby, who isn't a power puncher, it's another to get popped by a Sniper & my hunch, even w/ o that Head Kick is, Usman can't take a Power Shot, and he's going to fail the " Check a Chin Test & crumble; Trilogy doesn't go 5; Edwards by KO via Strikes Round 3; then u start to matchmake if the UFC does it fairly, which is always suspect, Khamzat, Geoff Neal, Belal & so on; Masvidal is on Crack; and a question mark to even be viable in Bellator or the PFL; there's guys over there than can Smoke UFC fighters; this is the Dark Destroyer CS from the US appreciating your Podcast worthy views

100% Herb did the RIGHT THING my standing them up.... his secondary purpose is to ensure there'd action.... His first priority is safety and rule enforcement, and his secondary priority is to keep the momentum up between the fighters.... and if fighters are just sitting there, or laying there, in this sort of stalemate where neither fighter is going to have the ability to change the situation, Herb's job is to then take the onus OFF OF THE FIGHTERS and get the momentum going again safely, because it's not like the fighters are going to say to each other "Looks like we're stuck here, time to agree to just stand up".... Anyway, so that's my first point, Herb was 100% right in what he did. My second point is that it doesn't matter one iota if you're the champion and you're on your way to break a bunch of records.... you don't get to just sit on the guy until the round is over, ensuring your victory that way.... and I only say this because Cejudo here questioned Herb's decision to stand them up because it "gave Leon a chance" and Usman was on his way to a bunch of records and blah blah blah.... That DOES NOT MATTER!! People paid and came to see a FIGHT, not to watch the champ sit on the challenger until the final bell rings lol....

If Usman had been Smart, he would have moved laterally to make Edwards chase & run out the clock & to prevent him from getting planted to line up the Kill Shot, which was clinically fantastic btw, but Henry lacks the Class to admit Usman's FIGHT IQ took a serious drop by being Cute & Cocky enough to stand in front of a Dangerous Man, play Russian Roulette & get DECAPITATED

Thank u Mr. Dropping & Walter White: the Bottom Line is when they stood up, Usman decided to stand there, play Cat & Mouse, being Cocky, Cute, & Cavalier, instead of moving laterally & making Edwards chase a bit, and that drop in Fight IQ, standing in front of a more Dangerous Man than his victims, got him Decapitated: If he watched any tape, he damn sure forgot or didn't remember until Edwards foot had gone through his Skull, to not be within Striking, or in this case, Head Kick Range of Rocky: u still have to be Precise to pull that off, and to do it w/ the Time Running Out is pretty impressive; But, like everyone else, no one thinks Edwards is any good, hence being overlooked, ducked, & so forth by the UFC, & to a small extent, Usman himself: the bigger problem for Usman is, after fighting in Above Sea Level conditions that favored him and "Zapped" Edwards, he got Ko 'ed on Edwards worse night: That does not bode well for Usman; @ minimum, Edwards is going to be Much Sharper in the Trilogy w/ Weapons in Tow, making it harder for Usman to execute his Plan; w/ 5 years of youth, reach, & deep arsenal in his favor, Edwards is going to be a Matchup Nightmare: however, the oddsmakers will favor Usman, fueled by Narrative of "Usman was Dominating / Leon Got Lucky", & bettors will lose their life savings, & wonder why they thought Edwards was a fluke despite being on an 11 fight win streak; Usman will fight more freely w/ o the Belt: Coasting is no longer an option, & he will be open to being countered, & the Hunch is, getting hit by Covington, who had "0" power is one thing; Getting popped by a "Next Level "striker is another: Woodley & Masvidal never touched him & I'm of the Mindset that Usman can't take a Power Shot from a Sniper like Edwards, & he will fail the "Check a Chin" Test and Crumble in a Mismatch that won't go 5
