That's a statement to say that he didn't get much recognition or attention that he should get in the football world...like FIFA player of the year or ballon d'Or winner. In 2021, he's not even in the top 30 list, and he is often overlooked in debates about the league's best marksmen. No matter how well he performed and scored consistently in the past 7 years, he is still underrated if he didn't get much recognition and attention as other players. I've been a Liverpool fan for decades but Son is my favourite out of the current players. Unbelievable striker of the ball off both feet, incredible power, fast and great dribbling. It's Zidane like. I don't think people realize how insane Son's stats are right now. A few games ago, he had taken 37 shots on goal and made 17 of them. That's a 45% conversion rate! Let's see how it compares to other players in the Premier League. Ronaldo also had made 17 goals but he took 45 shots. Salah made more goals 22 goals but he took 61 shots! If Son had 61 chances, he would have made 28 of them if you use his current conversion rate. I don't know if Son is really playing better than Ronaldo or perhaps his current streak may simply be luck, but I don't think people fully appreciate how crazy this streak is. It means that whenever he takes a shot on goal, you can expect that half of the time, they will go in. THAT'S INSANE! I also checked others and his conversion rate is better than Mbappe's and Lewandowski's! Given how unselfish he is and how much he contributes, I wonder why he's not considered for the Ballon d'Or? I don't know if he should win it, but he should at least be one of the contenders, no?

So, next season, good midfielder and wing-back will be needed. What a great performance that was. Cuti, Kulu and Sonny were outstanding but I have to say this, the goal we conceded was annoying. If Winks wasn't so easy to go past and had a bit of awareness we would've had a clean sheet. And this is not me being pessimistic but we cannot have players who come in at the 70th or 80th minute and are supposed to be our fresh legs at the final stretch, then single-handedly lead to us conceding.
