Regarding off track penalties. Think of them as punishment for going off track in the first place rather than FRR saying you gained "x" time. I'd also point out, if you lift or brake the moment you go off track, you massively increase the odds you won't get any penalty. Sure you'll 100% lose time but with practice, not as much as the penalty. That all said, the gardening one at 5:07 was harsh af.

Yeaa as h I get you man. It’s a toss up between a penalty and time loss for braking. Which one will be worse. lol hope your well bud.

Penalty system is as broken as it has ever been! I do think they try and gauge if any time was gained on the the person in front of you and behind. (I could be all wrong though) As always enjoy the racing and you inspired me to try my hand in my own at youtube channel. Cant wait for the next one!

Yeah that’s fair bud. It is off though but then again all of forza motorsport is off if it involves numbers. Like seriously a computer that cannot calculate lol. I ran out of fuel because the computer cannot calculate. It’s like setting up the fuel before a race. Sometimes it craps itself and just says updating like what. Just math lol. @@Flashms cant grumble at that! We are still dealing with some of the same bugs from day one for sure. I've had those races where I ran out as well. The off track calculation for a lap was a mess

So my understanding after reading an AMA with the devs is the penalties for off-track are based on what the speed the AI carries through the same spot. I have no idea how slow the AI is in the wet, but these seem to be egregious

Yeah exactly it’s a little funky. I mean a lot of us are faster than ai lol.

Ahahahahha advantage is an advantage. Not my fault the stewards spent the rest of the race arguing over how to do their job lol. Ooooo I wish man. That would be so funny. I mean it spent so long trying to work out what to do lol.

I’ve had this issue happen a few times. But I had a situation where me and the car in front both braked too late, we both went off, I followed them exactly behind them but I got a .60 penalty and they got nothing. To top it off next lap I overtook them and still lost because of the penalty smh 🤦‍♂️

Yeah that is frustrating. I don’t get it I don’t think it calculates well if you gained time. I think it still punishes regardless just for going of track and it’s still running in a coin flip chance lol.
