I caught mention of a past Georgetown XL picked up last summer? Thought it would never be seen again lol. Long awaited and look forward to seeing you work your magic on it and make it as nice or even better as the one in this video. Glad it's still going to get your expertise and attention.

The thing to remember when re-installing a roof vent with a removable vent cover is to dicor first wait a minimum of 12 hrs to have a skin form on the dicor that way it doesn't get stuck to the lap sealant.

As always, your video always presents something I wasn’t aware of, like heat-strips in the ACs. I’ve often wonder why the propane furnace isn’t offered with a heat-strip. Would eliminate the need to carry an electric heater.

Thanks again James for another video, I know the video is not your real job but you do an excellent job on them explaining things. Looked nice, I do not think I would buy a gas class A, I am not fond of many class A prefer a solid bus but they sell many every year and are a less expensive way to get out there. Stay safe and healthy James.

I feel like you have a lot to offer the RV industry in terms of training and construction-method advice. The benefit to the industry would be potentially significant savings in warranty repairs!

We have a 2012 Georgetown 350TS and it has held up very well at 45k miles. I’ve seen newer ones that don’t look no where near as good. I consider the Georgetown XL an upper level class A. It’s all in how you take care of them.

Thanks James. Nice Georgie, but I am amazed at how much wear a coach takes in such a short period of time. Maintenance & storage are always the most important factors. Thanks for the FRP tour! Haven't seen many of those. The hair looks good btw!

@@AZExpert I was wondering regarding those creases; Would this be a practical application for applying Eternabond tape over the creases themselves, either before or once those creases began to fray? Or, would that be just another misuse of eternabond tape?

I think they deliberately left the strip pf primer in the anticipation that the Dicor would be added along the cap seal and that it would stick better to primer than a glossy paint.

Thank you so much. I finally get to see one with the same roofing material as mine. I have a Solera by Forrest River, funny my cabinets are built the same way. Someday I might swap out the face frames for real wood. What do you recommend for waxing the roof; is there a spray on type or do I have to Karate Kid it 😜 Thanks again.

James, Wow, you got tongue tied on some of this one! Dumb question, since the roof is fiberglass in plastic, could the creases in the front and rear be reduced by slowly heating with a heat gun? I’m thinking it would relax and smooth out. But would probably reappear later with use. I would have thought the cabinets would have had more real wood. I’m thinking again, happy with Jayco class A we purchased. Respectfully, Kevin
@AZExpert3 жыл бұрын
Yes 100% they can be relaxed out, but they would likely come back over time. Thanks!

Seems like all roofing materials have some pitfalls, especially if the manufacturer engineers their products incorrectly.
@AZExpert3 жыл бұрын
true gelcoat fiberglass or metal would be the best and most durable. filon and frp is a cheap way to claim it's a fiberglass roof to unaware buyers.
