That is very nice of you to speak kindly of Ginger. You are right in that she was not around as long as LT so who knows how well any of you would have liked/loved her? Thank you for giving Ginger a chance and not slamming her. People change and set new goals so it is not for anyone but Ginger to tell what Elvis and her plans were. Elvis told people like Ed Parker that he loved Priscilla but wasn't in love with her he loved Ginger he said he'd never been 100% in love with anyone before her. He was engaged to her not Priscilla or Linda. I get why people love Linda and Priscilla but they had run thier course. Ginger was Elvis choice. Not ours or anyone elses.

For me I think Elvis chose Ginger good or bad it was his decision not ours but personally with all his issues and not being so handsome as he was when was young if it weren’t for his money and fame I didn’t think she would have given him a second look. She dumped her boyfriend when Elvis pressured her and showered her with expensive items and her mother sued his state to pay for things Elvis promised before he died so I can see why his fans didn’t and don’t like her. Linda Thompson apparently had a friendly positive personality and took care of Elvis like he was a baby that was the reason fans loved her. Priscilla has both sides people who like her those who don’t like her. I personally like her but I think she could have divorced him then start having boyfriend but that was her decision and who am I to judge her.

It‘s actually so fascinating because I never loved somebody that I never met as much as I love Elvis. I never even co-existed with him but after watching the Elvis movie I never knew what a kind and good person he was and just wanted to know everything about him and now almost 2 years later I love him so much and he means so much to me. Elvis never realized how much happiness he gave to other people. In my opinion there was a lot of turbulence and breakage and torment in Elvis‘s heart, he never showed his emotions much or talked about it but rather suppressed it which led to explosion. I think Elvis always felt lonely his entire life and never felt whole, he walked this earth as a half and it was mostly because of his twin being stillborn and also because his mother died. Even when Gladys was alive Elvis always felt kind of lonely and it‘s most definitely because his twin not being there. He was his own worst enemy and I think Elvis was way to hard on himself and he never was able to stand up for himself because he was insecure and didn’t believe in himself or had any trust. He thought he would be lost without the Colonel and on top of that he had money trauma and he was very worried of being poor again especially since he had so many responsibilities. He was a perfectionist and to stubborn which initially ruined him and contributed to his downfall as well. I don’t think Elvis ever found a person he fully was happy with or felt complete with or understood. He obviously loved his family and friends but Elvis never felt understood by most people. I think Elvis initially killed himself with the pills by being so depressed and hopeless and it‘s obvious he started to give up on life. It also seems to me that nothing made him happy anymore. It was always the same old tiring thing he was doing, everything was the same and Elvis was burnt out. He needed change and to change his life and go different directions and find purpose and follow his dreams. He needed to do things to fulfill him but his manager was in the way. In the end of the day, Elvis gave up on life and the saddest part is, he gave up on himself. It breaks my heart how he ruined himself. Most people in his environment didn’t know how deeply he was suffering deep inside because he didn’t want to ruin other people’s life with his burdens. I guess that it was just his time to die…Elvis could have never been able to deal with his father‘s death, he also was almost blind because of his glaucoma. I think death gave him salvation in some ways and I am pretty sure Elvis found peace. I will always miss Elvis so deeply every single day. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of him. He was a beautiful soul with a sad life story yet he made the best out of it and I am always gonna be proud of Elvis❤️

He was NOT depressed and hopeless in the end! If you think that Elvis the movie just recently out was accurate-it was NOT! He was in love again or at least with a new woman Ginger. He was excited to go on tour. Priscilla made it look like after her his life went downhill!! Not true!! That movie did him a GREAT HUGE DISSERVICE IMHO!! It told NOTHING about his deep love and faith in Christ. Never even showed him singing Gospel songs at the piano which he loved and frequently did. I saw him in concert twice. July 1976 and I was a little girl in LOVE!! He was just absolutely stunning beautiful patriotic God anointed and blessed w such a voice! Mesmerizing!❤. He was also human and had the disease of addiction seemingly. But please don’t take these last 2 movies as Gospel. I didn’t like them. Well Ive not seen “Priscilla “. The actor was fantastic!! I agree, many depressed people will still smile and seem okay, but internally it’s a struggle. He wasn’t reaching out to help himself, no matter what the situation was (i.e. sickness, pills, depression , etc.) he needed help. 💔😢

The movies don't show the real Elvis. They're almost a caricature. Elvis needed a long break, but that wasn't possible with someone many people dependent on him. He wanted to tour Europe and needed a change of scenery. If he'd have Ben able to do that, he'd have lost weight and gotten his mojo back.

Hope Teresa feels better. I was sick on New years eve and still not 100% I don't know what bug is going around but it's a nasty one. So far 2024 did not start off great for me lol hope everyone is doing good. Teresa hope you don't fall again and break anymore ribs or suffer any more injuries.
