Thanks Paulina :-D I think so.. I prefer to rotate through my collection so I probably won't attempt another project pan with a specific eyeshadow palette but I will be trying to pan some of my favourite or most used shades in my collection!

Thank you for the update! Lol. I’m thinking about trying to pan Subliminal and was searching for inspiration videos. And yes “crickets” was all I could find after you all launched these. Melissa Gold Not bad! Actually I use my Viseart warm matts and neutral matts palettes the most often (not sure if I did 20 times though!). Unfortunately I recently really got into the minimal eye look (liner mainly) + bold lip look and so I don’t reach my palettes as often as I should.

Divine Mink looks so perfect! I love it on you! I've been looking for a smoky taupe, but I definitely don't want to spend that much on a single eyeshadow or the palette. I guess the search continues. I really like that you're not trying to pan, just for the sake of panning. I feel like a lot of people have been doing that lately or at least that's the impression I have. I will definitely focus on using more products in my collection next year but I don't see myself panning palettes, because I also like to rotate eyeshadows like you

That's fair enough! I'd check out Temptalia for some dupes. It's definitely been interesting learning from doing this project pan. I can go through face products fairly happily but I much prefer going through eyeshadows organically rather than focusing on one specific palette!

@@melissagold2559 Not totally panned, but I hit pan on Ultimate Taupe, VR Violet, and Lilac Dust. Astral White looks like it is close (it's hard to tell on those waffle pans at first).

@@melissagold2559 Ultimate Taupe was my transition shade is almost every look, and I couldn't resist patting VR Violet on the lid, so I think the way I used the shades made a big difference.

That double wing, red look is so beautiful. I recently used the gold shadow lightly parted over a peachy matte and it was so gorgeous. It wasn’t an intense gold; it just made the look pop. I’m trying to use this palette once a week.

I'm like you in that I don't have a desire to hit pan in eyeshadows. I'd rather just rotate through my collection. I have all the Pat palettes, and I like owning them all and switching them up. Your looks were beautiful!

I get you with the multidimensional taupes. Dior has a beautiful single eyeshadow called Cosmepolite which I love. Depending on the lighting and time of day it can look neutral taupe, pinky taupe, gold taupe, or silvery taupe and it has the most beautiful sparkle. Dior singles are expensive but you get 2.5 grams. I have it and I love it.

That shade sounds amazing! I've not tried Dior singles myself but I'm keen to swatch them next time I'm in store. I gravitate toward one and done shades these days since I generally don't have much time to get ready in the mornings.

I know I am like a year late for this, but the looks you created really sold me on buying the pallette. I think you did a really good job with trying to pan this, it's difficult because they are opaque, creamy, blendable goodness- so you don't need to keep layering to make it work; and because they are so foiled/ metallic you only need a little bit to make a big impact- especially for work or daytime wearability.

I would consider this a semi success! Yes, you didn't hit many on any of the shades which was the goal, but you have serious dips in there! Especially with a large collection that you rotate through frequently I think this is a huge success, well done!

I also did not hit pan on my PMG Subversive this year. I feel like I was so close, but it just didn't go so honestly, I think that PMG shadows in general are just more difficult to pan in the first place. You're right that this is more of a learning experience and the fact that you used it 20 times to utilise in eye looks and have so many dips in the shades means you have been successful! Hopefully you'll continue making more project pan related stuff and congratulations on that pan in the Viseart Warm Mattes! 🙌

You gave it a good shot but I think it's okay that you didn't - I think I prefer just letting it happen naturally and enjoying them without the pressure of using them all the time. I definitely will! I'm thinking about what I should include in my project pan for 2020.

Considering it's more of a pairing palette I'm impressed. Good job! On an unrelated note: Does anyone else think multichromes are overrated? I feel like on a small surface like an eyelid you're not really getting a noticeable enough shift to justify the cost.

Thank you! And yes I kind of do which is why I've not pulled the trigger on buying any of the multi chrome singles (loose or pressed).. they're too pricy for how I want to use them which is as a liner and I already have my multi chrome liners from JD Glow which I adore.

I think that you did really well. It's showing good signs of use which is the most important thing. When we hardcore pan a palette, we tend to ignore the rest of our collection. You have probably used a greater percentage of your collection than I have.

I don't feel that a project pan is practical for me because I too have several beautiful palettes. I will choose a palette (usually one that is getting older) and put it through heavy rotation for a few months. I'm doing that right now with my Green/Brown 28 pan Natasha Denona palette. Monday, Wednesday, Friday I use it and the rest of the week I use whatever I'm in the mood for. The thing I should really focus on is not buying anymore makeup since I can barely use what I have.

For me, I never pan just for pannings sake ... it sucks the fun right out of it. By all means I'll get excited about finishing something and go hard to get to the end or alternatively decide it's getting old and I want to make room for something else so I'll double down to finish it off. But for the most part, I just want to go with what brings me joy on any given day and that is not the same thing every day.

Yeah I've learned I don't particularly like forcefully panning an eyeshadow palette. I always had to remember to try and document when I used it, but often forgot. I won't be doing an eyeshadow one in future I don't think. If one day I have hit pan on a couple of palettes, I might show it here but not planning anything specific at the moment. I think it's good that you're going with what brings you joy!

Not a failure! The goal was to get use...and the looks you created were stunning. Just in time to its re-release...as Stars Wars! I don’t use it very often but when I do I love it. The blue and taupe are my favorites as well. I love taupe as well.

I think for what it is, which is more of a fun not everyday palette you did good. I think if you had been using one of her more neutral palettes it would have been a lot easier to go through. I’m also super curious, did you purchase any of the Pat McGrath x Star Wars palettes?! ❤️

True - I didn't really consider that when I started this project but it definitely is more of a palette of pops for me. And I've been good - I didn't buy the PML star wars collection.. although it hasn't come to Selfridges yet - I try not to buy off yet website if I can due to poor customer experience in the past + packaging! Did you??

Melissa Gold that’s weird, everyone was saying that the collection was going to Selfridges first 🤔 but yes, I registered for early access and managed to buy the bundle with the two palettes before it sold out luckily, the bundle was I think about $10 less than buying them individually and then she also had a 10% off coupon code for the early release. I think both together was just under $150 Canadian after taxes. Although I’m still waiting for them to ship my cyber Monday order so who knows when I will receive them 🙄
