What he means is they collect the morning dew from the thatched houses roof. Elikplimi is the same as Emmanuela in English from the Bible also has the same meaning "God is with me/us". Elikplimi in Ewe is unisex name. Ewes use unisex names. Love the way you enjoying the village and Ghana. The naming ceremony is done by all tribes and slightly different in most cases, but nearly same.
