In today's Pokemon cards opening I opened a $500 booster box of Cosmic Eclipse Pokemon cards to see if it would be a profit or loss. So far we are 0-4 but will we finally win today or will it be yet another loss.

According to pokecollector, you will still loss 43 dollars if you pull the most expensive three full art cards, 5 most expensive gx, and pull a pikachu and red card (plus another trainer-Pokémon card) and counting all the bulk. This is how crazy Pokémon goes. Remember Pokémon is a kid game. This game used to be everyone could afford it.

Thanks for calculating this, opening booster boxes of older sets is always going to be a loss. Has to be an etb to stand a chance of just getting lucky.

This series is so fun to watch and some good boxes to open would be evolving sky's or vivid voltage with there cheap price and there good cards theres a high chance to make your money back!

I’ll guess $120. The more expensive the booster box is, the less money they’ll be as a set. A lot of Pokémon sets are top-heavy and require you to pull the heavy-hitters to justify opening as opposed to leaving them sealed: which will almost always be the better option.

This is honestly one of my favorite series the whole release so far. I absolutely love contacting Karch and seeing so much from this set is amazing. Hopefully around $300 worth back from the video, not expecting too much ha ha

I love seeing Cosmic Eclipse getting opened in this series! It is my second favorite set from the Sun and Moon era. Even though your luck in this series hasn’t been the greatest when it comes to value I am going to say you’ll get around $200 in value.

@@DMP11124 of course he did worse. The more expensive the box is, the less profit you are to make. People need to understand that without grading involved, it’s better to keep the box sealed than open.

Cosmic eclipse is one of my top 3 sets of all time. Love the full art trainers. Love the general artwork overall. Value prediction I'm gonna say about $250

Amazing set but the price of the booster box makes a profit near impossible. You did get your money back and then some if you paid retail for that box. Such a great time to be collecting since cosmic is showing up in so many products right now. Love that set and the video.

Cosmic eclipse has some really nice cards, tag teams, gold, character rares, full arts. Its like brilliant stars with worse pull rate and less worth cards I would definitely prefer brilliant stars

I ordered a Holliday pack and got the red tier and cosmic eclipse was the pack. I pulled the regular tag team arceus, dialga, and palkia! Love this set.
