I love the relationship between you and your Dad, spot on mush. My son is 15 soon and is in and around my workshop all the time, I hope he turns out like you 🙂🚙🔨🪛🔧

Great to see a ‘young lad’ so keen on building his skills. Tip on the bumper. Try experimenting with different spray caps/ tips. You’ll notice a difference. My recommendation is devilbiss gti pro with te10 caps and liquid glass lacquer but loads of alternatives. Great job with what you have and 10/10 for effort and enthusiasm. Keep up the great work. Your the future of this trade 👍

I like how you said “ we took it for a mot and we’ve put a full years on it “ it’s not as if you can put 6 months on it lol. Cheap little car for someone 👍🏼

Just a tip for next time, jet wash first and ion spray it, then rinse it off and then ion spray it again and rub it in all round, don’t spray and rub straight away because you scratch the paint with all the dirt

Your wrong on this occasion young man , copart do categorize them , independent insurance engineers are a rare breed now , everyday is a school day. Takes a bigger man to admit his mistakes, Well done, your not really making mistakes your learning . Dads words I’ll be able to retire soon tells us he’s proud of you and how far you have come, the only way is up

Salvage rebuild uk bought a van which was cat S & both checked it out when they got it back & said it should have been a cat B & they assume that the assessor put the cat on it by photographic evidence

What annoys me is when I am selling a cat car people say cat S it's been badly damaged when they have not seen damage photos
@alansimpson4327 ай бұрын
They don't do 6-month MOT's
@danwedderburn55507 ай бұрын
Contrary to what you think, i think Copart has alot to do with the categories. Its too obvious right now that there are so many cat s that should be a cat n. Dont forget that Copart pay less for a cat s car than a cat n. Copart are only about one thing & that is money. I really would not be surprised if they have alot to do with it. I have seen them re categorise a cat s car to a cat b when they cant get the money for it. That alone tells me they have the influence with the insurance companies to take the piss.

Copart do the assessment for some insurance companies, Hastings is one.

Copart don't buy the vehicles, they auction them on behalf of the insurance companies, the insurance engineer categorises the salvage categorises and they most probably have only viewed images sent by the garage with the estimate most probably via the Audatex estimating system.
@carlitoo48677 ай бұрын
Contact co part! I seen another KZbinr rang them regarding a vehicle he brought and wrongly categorised it, and he had it changed!
@tonyo66724 ай бұрын
Don't be hard on yourself! We all make mistakes, but most of all you have shown, your kind self, in doing the right thing with the car! That's worth the train trip, there are good people out there, like the the garage you borrowed the screwdriver from! 🪛
