Each province runs its own health care system. Even within a province, there are differences between big cities and small towns. Some towns have walk-in clinics equipped with X-ray machines; they can provide X-Ray results instantaneously.

@@TaniaHemdev My Dad had good experience with McGill University Health Centre. Being a new hospital, they have "free" private rooms and modern gadgets. More importantly, they speak English.

In USA, I fell on black ice during winter. A friend drove me to Emergency Room. Within 1 hour, they took X-ray and determined that I had a fibula fracture in my leg. Next day, doctor performed surgery and placed a removable orthopedic boot on my leg. I was hospitalized for 3 days. Discharged after CT scan for blood clot; and learning how to use crutches, going up and down steps. After 2 months, I had to take a series of physical therapy sessions, learning how to walk again. USA has the best health care system, provided that you have health insurance; and money to pay for deductibles and copayments.

It's quite unfortunate to hear that you had this problem, but the bitter truth is that one day we all need the medical system and such a medical system is a nightmare. I shared my experience with you all, and it's not really good. For sure, not FREE 😅 Get well soon!!
