Wow I’m really surprised how dark that first engine flush was, I guess it works. I’ve never been a big fan of flushes either but I may consider this on my next used vehicle. I like this process thanks for sharing.

What's the highest miles for a used gas-powered vehicle that you would get?

It really depends on the vehicle and how many miles you plan to drive it. Generally, I will drive them 200k, and that's when I sell them. When I buy, I look for anything less than 100k is good for me, but I drive less than 10k per year on any one vehicle. I'm a big fan of the LS motors, so I tend to have a lot of Silverados, Tahoe, and Suburbans. Maintenance is everything, so any data from carfax that supports good maintenance history is a plus. Transmission fluid condition, tire wear, and leaks are harder to hide, so those are on my checklist. 200k is about the time lots of little things will drive you nuts even if it's running well.
